I know this won't be popular, especially around here, but I am seriously doubting if Pelinini can take this team to the next level.....

as much as i want to support bo im slowly starting to agree with this point of view. i think if he drops another game like this next year, i will fully agree with this opinion

i question his ability at recruiting and evaluating talent. I think the defensive scheming is good.

Wow. A team that has so many young players, an OC that is in his first season calling plays, and a coach leading his team into a new conference. Sitting 7-2, yet you guys are ready to tar & feather him and run him out of town like this is Indiana or something. Even our savior T.O. had his bad games in the early years. It takes time.

why is tm at Nebraska? cause we are the only ones that thought he could play quarterback. If he said tomorrow, I am transferring -- he isn't going to play qb at his next school.

I think he can take us to the next level. I made a post on the main board about this as well. We have a young coach........and by young, I don't mean his age. I mean this is his first head coaching job ever.........and he has managed to consistently put together 10 win seasons in his first 4 years on the job, for one of the most difficult football programs in the country to possibly coach for.

He has some learning to do, and we as a team need to start winning conference championships. We are not getting the kinds of recruits right now that Alabama is getting for instance.........and it's because those recruits want to go somewhere where they know they will win championships. We haven't proven that we can do that in the past decade.

It will take some time, but don't forget.........Pelini took over this Husker team when we were in complete ruins.........we were in the worst shape we had ever been in before.........and he immediately put together 9, 10, and 10 win seasons........making an appearance in the conference Title game in his 2nd and 3rd seasons..........and this season he is well on his way to another 10 win season.

Yes, this is very true as well.....

I'm not saying it will be easy finding someone better than Bo that would want the job, but I do have a hell of a lot of trust in the AD now....

I LOVE the defensive mind that the Pelini's bring to the table.....They scheme great, and can take the talent given to them, and coach them and teach them to play fucking awesome....

I still do not like the idea of bringing in some big name tool. Jed and I got into an argument about that last year I believe. He said he'd much rather have a big name coach who is popular than to have Bo. And I think succeeding at Nebraska is far beyond being a typical good Head Coach.........I think in order to succeed at Nebraska you have to be able to understand and embrace the traditions that we have in place here.........and I think it takes a unique and passionate guy to do that. Not some big whig

his schemes only work against immobile QB's though

the scheming is there against mobile quarterbacks...we just can't fucking tackle them.

in the wisky loss, we had players in position but Wilson broke their fucking ankles.

That's also very true.....

i mean think about it, i don't know why but he honestly CANNOT stop a mobile QB. the key to beating nebraska isn't in stopping our run game, it isn't in running it up the middle against us, it isn't in special teams, its in having a QB that can run

Well, look at what his scheme is..........break it down for a second. We aren't putting anyone up in the box, we are max protecting down field to take away any sort of big pass plays.........but then we are expecting 4 or 5 guys up front to take away the run game at the same time.

Right now our D-Linemen are having trouble getting off blocks, and obviously they aren't nearly as fast as these QBs who are running right by us.

well we all know that Bo's scheme relies on either a completely dominate D-line to help out the secondary, or a completely dominate secondary to help out the D-line, we have neither this year.

The question I have is:

Has Bo made the right decision regarding whom he's hired as asst's? The head coach is only as good as though's he surrounds himself with, it's the same with any business.

What does Ross Els, Corey Raymond and Rich Fisher bring to the table?
Are Els and Raymond the right fit for NU?
It appears Fish has the WR's playing hard and holding their block's, trying to give the little extra effort.
As for the LB's and secondary, well that's another story there.

Anybody have any insight on these guy's?
