Plus, Lebron is an excellent passer. The triangle works best when the post player can pass. It worked for the Lakers because Shaq was an excellent passer and Lebron is a better passer than Shaq was!!

Not 100% sure what those adjustments were that the Pacers made, but it was like Lebron couldn't even get to the paint to post up last night!!
They sent a big double team at him if I recall correctly. By the time they swung the ball shot clock was running out.

Sounds about right!! I was switching between Heat/Pacers, Dodgers/Angels and Kings/Sharks, so I missed some stuff!!

True. But Lebron is a versatile enough player that I think he would do well in just about any offense.

I don't think that Miami should go 100% or even 50% to the triangle, but elements of it could have helped them last night (and in the first 2 games) when the game was being played at a slower pace.

Lebron made a concerted effort to establish himself in the paint in game 3 and the result was a Heat blowout. The Pacers adjusted and he didn't get himself established in the paint last night. Some triangle elements may have helped with that.

This is what I was saying - I am not saying any team should ever use the triangle 100% or even 50% because I think the offense should be mixed up. In fact that was what got Mike Brown fired this last season. He tried the Princeton offense which never worked. If he had did like Phil Jackson when PJ came to the Lakers and implemented it gradually and ran the usual until they got the hang of it - then they would have been okay.

I definitely think a successful team needs atleast two three types of offenses which last night the triangle would have been a good time to execute it and it would have thrown Indiana out of whack

I love how all the heat fans are complaining about calls when there were 2 bad ones against the pacers in the 4th

The thing with the triangle offense is that it is the only offense a team should need. The triangle offense is more of a reactionary offense to what the defense is doing. If the defense adjusts, then their are built in ways/sets to counter those defensive adjustments.

Hell would freeze over before Riley was good with the Heat playing the triangle. I honestly think he hates Phil Jackson.

Lebron's bitch ass self is getting calls. He's also flopping and the refs are starting to call it both ways.

Either way, the refs need to hold onto their dam whistle and let them play. Way too many whistles. Go back and watch old games in the 80's/90's and barely hear a whistle.

It's getting lame.

There's something ravishing about this guy's posts. I can't quite put my finger on it.

Some of you don't get it.

I find it HIGHLY suspicious that the league MVP would draw 4 fouls in the 4th quarter, in crunch time.

If you don't find that in and of itself suspect, something is wrong with you. That doesn't happen in any sport, at any level of competition.

No, YOU don't get it. Same for any other whiners and conspiracy theorists. There wasn't bias in that game. There was Joey Crawford. He inserts himself into the game. That's what he does and its why he's notorious. He'll call an overabundance of fouls, unnecessary technicals, and overexaggerate himself while making the calls, etc etc. It's clear to anyone not living in a bunker what happened. The series has been physical so in typical Joey Crawford fashion he says "not on my watch! I'll show these punks" and dished out fouls all around. There wasn't slant. 30 total fouls for Miami (2 at the end when they needed to foul to extend the game), 25 for Indy. If you take away those two at the end, that's 28 to 25, hardly a disparity. Hell, 30 to 25 isn't a disparity. As for individual players, there's no great disparity either. George, West and Stephenson also played with foul trouble. Hell, George was taken out of the game with foul trouble at times which allowed Miami to close the gap.

You're in a dream world if you think its slanted to favor one team over the other. The only slant is that of a bad official. There were bad calls all around on both sides. Had Miami won, all the conspiracy guys would be bitching how Indy got screwed on the missed 24 expiration, a missed call on an out of bounds play, and some dubious flops.

This is not about a disparity.

I'm sorry, but if you can't put 2+2 together I can't help you. NONE of Indy's top players was in foul trouble, whereas Miamis top 3 nearly all fouled out. That's an advantage for Indy, that's a FACT.

And also the fact that the league ALLOWS Crawford to officiate games like this proves my point. He IS notorious.....so WHY is he allowed to officiate important games? Because the league WANTS these outcomes!

The fact of life is that games get fixed. It happens and it did happen.

If you were going to fix a game the best way to start would be getting Wade and Bosh in foul trouble affecting their game. T up Lebron keeping him in trouble the rest of the game. If all that fails, like it looked like it would, give Lebron 4 fouls in 6 minutes...and make up a travel.

The league is going to look into this and JC will face consequences.

Now it is time for us to move on. Hopefully we can get back to what we did in game 3 and finish this in 6.

so if you take away the two fouls at the end that totally swung the game in one direction.. it was even. WOW. just wow.

Gotta love Heat fans!! Crying about the refs and claiming the "fix" was in, but if the Heat win and someone dares suggest they got even one favorable call, you start crying about that and calling them haters!!

Bottom line is blaming the refs for a loss is:lame:

This is true. The only game I can recall where a teams fanbase had a legitimate gripe was the 2002 WCF game 6. I can't blame Kings fans for blaming officials for that game. I don't get how Heat fans can complain about the game 4 officiating, it was bad for both sides, Joe Crawford is a dipshit, but when you get outrebounded that badly...

Yeah, getting killed by 19 on the boards isn't going to win you very many games and Crawford has always sucked and had a quick fuse!!

Wasn't he the guy who tossed Tim Duncan for laughing?

they would not have gotten out rebounded like that if Bosh and Wade were not in foul trouble!!! They have to change hold back their entire game when that happens. There is so much more to foul trouble than "oh geez 4 more and he is out"

I never complain about refs because it goes both ways, this was not even close. In a lot of ways this was very refreshing and reassuring. Look at how much the refs had to do to keep the Heat from winning.

Oh well I am done talking about it.

Whoever wins this series will have an edge in whatever game Crawford is one of the Refs.

My favorite part is the announcer calling Crawford "one of the best in the business"!!
