Someone needs to start a thread for the next series when the time comes... According to Ira Winderman”NBA announces Heat second-rounder opener set for Monday at 7, with second game of that series, also at home, on Wednesday at 7.If it's Chicago in second round there can't be a Sunday game there, with Blackhawks booked at United Center on May 12."

So Nets vs. Bulls is actually going to a game 7. Can't say I saw that happening after Brooklyn's amazing collapse during game 4.

Should Rose suit up for a do or die game? Rally up the Bulls? Even if he plays for 15 minutes. Otherwise the Nets have the momentum. The Heat shouldn;t get too complacent if the Nets do advance in the second round.

Brook Lopez is reminiscent of Tim Duncan with less defensive skill. He shows promise. He is somebody the Heat should watch out for if the Nets make it.

Rose shouldn't even attempt to come back for the playoffs. He hasn't had any game minutes in over a year now. Plus throwing an important cog into the mix disrupts the on-court chemistry that the Bulls have. Rose hasn't played with alot of these players (Nate Robinson, Jimmy Butler, Belineli).

Brook Lopez is the only mismatch that the Nets have over Miami. I could list all of the mistmatch problems we pose for them, but I'll just label the biggest weakness for the Nets is their own inconsistency. Without Deng, Heinrich, and Rose while Noah is walking on what seems to be broken feet at this point and Nate Robinson and Taj Gibson on the side line puking from the flu.....and you only win by 3?!?!?!?!

Back at home. Im going to take the Nets here... Id love to see Boston win tonight as well and force a game 7.. I have watched every series/game of the playoffs so far except the Hawks/Pacers. That series just seems boring as hell to me. Anyone here think either of those teams stand a chance against the Knicks in round 2 (if NY gets there)?

Pacers do for sure. They have HC and play defense.

As far as Bulls/Nets winner. They should just conceed Game 1 and take a few days off and rest up for game 2.

I still think rose will come out with a Superman cape and get the whole crowd excited from his return try to save the bulls if they get to the 2nd round.

That boy Rose is soft

Completely agree. S-O-F-T.

I believe it was Jeff Van Gundy who said this story during some game I watched (probably Heat, but who knows).

Paraphrasing it now... but this is what Thibs should do to Rose...

A coach walks into a locker room and sees his injured star player sitting there in his suit as the other players are dressing and going through pre-game rituals. the coach thinks the player should already have returned to playing (like most with Rose). The coach walks up to the player in the middle of the locker room and asks... 'could you even play one minute of basketball tonight?' The player says 'yea, i could play for one minute.' The coach then yells at the player "then why arent you f****** dressed?"

Thibs needs to handle this. Rose needs to play even limited minutes. S-O-F-T

Pacers don't have HC if they play the Knicks.

If they played better on the road I would give them a chance but I think NYK wins in 6

You are 100% correct. Don't even know what I was thinking.

Anyway, it's hard to explain why HC means a 30-40 pt swing in the Pacers/Hawks series.

I'll make my precitions when there is a round 2 prediction thread.

You guys know how much I hate early predicitions and getting ahead of myself, but there is just too much time between now and our next game - So, for the sake of argument - Who would you guys rather face if we made it to the ECF, the Pacers or Knicks?

If the Knicks play like they did this series, I rather face them but if they play as they did in the 3 meetings when James/Wade did play I prefer Indy

Rather have the Knicks. The Pacers play a physical game and avoiding injuries is a must. The Heat can beat both teams. The Knicks can be shut down with good defense as evidenced by the Boston series.
