How do signing bonuses work? Can we give any amount as a signing bonus or only a percentage of the contract? And if a player were to retire (Haslem) can you give them a *bonus* for doing so, like a thank you? lol

Are there even signing bonuses in the NBA? I always assumed that since every contract is guaranteed that negated the need for a signing bonus

I don't think there are signing bonuses in the nba. and you cant pay a guy to retire. but they could ask haslem to retire and then give him a front office job with mourning.
