Here's a thought...multiple teams are interested in Mac...Our former OC and DC are playing each other in the NFCCG....Apparently our OC this season is about to be our HC here....perhaps Coaching hasn't been the problem. That means, umm....the GM maybe?

We lost all that and went 7-10. They lost just as much and went 15-2
They scored more than 200 points more than us and their offense dominated the time of possession which kept the defense off the field and their points and yards against lower than otherwise would be. They were 20th in yards against and only 13 yards per game allowed better than us. Their Offense was 2nd in the NFL in yards for and 82 more than ours.

Jerry is of course by a mile the top problem with this team .He somewhat masked his incompetence for years by just spending, but now that he no longer does that, all that is left are his poor decisions and clueless wandering from scheme to scheme and identity to identity like a wayward ship floating in the ocean. What type of team are we exactly? What is our identity? There is no plan, just going through the motions and running the team on a wing and a prayer.

That being said, the coaching has been a huge problem here. Those may all be great coaches, but they weren't here and that is in part due to Jerry of course, but a big part of it is being "yes men". We need someone who won't be. Not to beat a dead horse but look at Zeke. This team did everything possible to make him the #1 back and while we all know where that came from, the point is either McCarthy agreed that Zeke was the best RB on this team or he just did what the owner wanted him to. Neither is acceptable for an NFL HC. And what about Zeke missing meetings? We of course find out that was happening all year as well and the coach still played him until after it all crashed down.

you dodged a bullet, he is a product of his players outplaying his shitty scheme
Yeah… he probably should have rethought all those blitzes that he kept throwing out there and Daniels kept beating. I’m guessing the Iggles (I.e.; Fangio) will have a different approach.

Schottenheimer to get a second interview. The guy might do a fantastic job, who knows? But it is really hard to understand how we had a coaching staff in 2022 with Mac as HC, Kellen Moore as OC, DQ as DC and Schottenheimer as...Coaching Analyst??...and next year the top 3 guys are gone and you roll with Schotty
Crap. You might be right about Schottenheimer being the guy. I had just written it off as Jerry being unable to let go and his having to tell everyone how they are his buddies and he is interested in them. He might just be the guy

The million dollar question. Who's idea was it to start Zeke? I don't think I can remember a running back fall of a cliff every year after his rookie season like Zeke. Why??

So losing Aiden Hutchinson, 5 other starters and 6 backups isn't a good enough reason for one bad game after going 15-2? And who did it to them? Jayden Daniels lit up the Eagles defense a few weeks ago and most people believe they have the best D in the league. I think you're being a little harsh Bro

I agree that the playcalling has not been great, though I think Mac did a good job otherwise and I thought Zim was outstanding. As to them being Yes Men, I put that on Jerry as well. I can't blame Mac for leaving his couch to be HC of the Cowboys, just like I can't blame Schottenheimer if he's not the right guy when no one else in the league wants him as HC but Jerry. It's all GM to me. A real GM would at least interview the guys the rest of the league are most interested in

Yeah, I'm afraid so. I saw some folks saying Jerry was shocked when Mac walked away and that his back up plan, Kellen Moore, said no(he spent less than two hours in a three hour scheduled interview). I really liked Saleh, but it's just what I thought, Jerry getting his DEI interview in. Jerry and Stephen are turning this proud franchise into the laughingstock of the NFL

From what I read today it is Stevie Wonder boy that is pushing for Shotty to be the next HC. SSDD . Stevie is probably more of the problem than the solution.

He is without question. I have heard several people say Stephen is behind our lack of spending in FA and hiding behind the cap. They can create 100M in space this year AFTER getting Micah extended...but they won't, because one of the ways you do that is by converting salary to signing bonus. So say player A has a cap hit of $20M the next four years straight. You can write that player a check for $20M now as converted to bonus, and the cap will change to $5M extra the next 4 years of the deal. So you give the guy a $1M salary this year, plus the $5M in bonus against the cap, and your cap hit goes from $20M to $6M this season creating $14M in cap space. And while you are pushing money back against the cap, the cap itself has gone from $177M in 2018 to $272M this year, so you never really feel it. Teams like the Eagles do that, sign anyone they want and never have cap issues. We pretend we can't create cap space because Stephen will spend up to the cap, but won't spend more to build a winner

Hearing now Schottenheimer is all but done, will be announced tomorrow. We aren't a serious franchise anymore

Where did I talk about one game? Those are the stats for the entire season

I think at least a part of why Campbell goes for it so often on 4th down is that he doesn't trust his defense

I agree they have a great offense, but that's also where they spent all their money. They had way worse defensive injuries than even we had and only lost two so I can't ding the guy. Agree to disagree. But I do think he will be a better HC than the guy we are on the verge of signing

Run run pass, run run pass, over and over and over. He'll be here for 5 years, perfect spineless Jerry puppet. This would be disheartening if I wasn't already numb to it all

Guess I’m willing to be surprised.

Sure hope I’m surprised… dammit!

Well....I really wanted the team to have a healthy Dak run a similar, run heavy offense like we ran when Rush was starting at QB. If nothing else, that should happen
