Who in their right mind would employ this person??? Damn he is a dolt!!!
Only someone who wants a yes man puppet for an employee. Dan doesn't care about excellence in his ranks, he just wants subservience.
Truthfully, Bruce is absolutely correct when he states that this team is close. I don't see how anyone can dispute the accuracy in that statement. Where he goes wrong is in his attempt to imply what our team is close to. Consistently good playoff and SB contenders we are not remotely close to, so, maybe he meant close to perfectly mediocre 8-8.
Then Jay should emulate his pupil who took 2 short seasons to get there. Never mind, those guys give their all for Sean McVay. We can see already that guys do NOT lay it on the line for Jay Gruden, they just talk about how soft he is as a HC. We have the wrong coach in place to reach the long term goals of sustainable winning and SB aspirations SoCal.Bingo! Jay Gruden is the definition of mediocrity. Take away his first year - 2014 when they had the early season RG3 injury & all types of issues including playing musical QBs - & his record is 31-32-1 which is about as middle of the road as you can get.
To me this sounds like a decent coach but very likely not one that is ever going to lead this team to a SB (especially w/ their FO). In some ways this is worse than being a horrible team since they appear to be destined to always stay around the middle & never achieve true, long term success (best case - squeak into the playoffs & be bounced early).
They really need to start considering how to end this vicious cycle & build towards the long term & not just the upcoming season. Sure injuries hurt them over the last few years, but that only explains part of the problem. I pray that they are at least admitting that they have to do things somewhat differently if they ever want to seriously contend for a SB.

to poor salt into the wound i think doug would actually be a good GMWilliams is influential, but 'the buck stops' with Bruce Allen
Kind of discouraging article regarding Allen. If true it indicates that Williams yields some power at Ashburn but only to a very limited degree. I truly believe that barring a miracle the Skins need a true GM in order to realize true, long term success. As the article mentions that is not the case at this time.
