The Best QB on the roster is the General Manager.

Not that anyone cares what I think of OZ, but as anyone who knows me from the moment he was drafted I hated the pick. And I wasn't sorry to see us not re-sign him. Saying that, it makes sense from the classic risk/reward standpoint to sign him now. So I'm fine with the signing - it's not like we threw away a 2nd round pick or paid a huge contract.

Only gone a year and had his Best year under Elway
Not too bad save $16MM and he will compete with the other giraffe

Kind of a crazy turn of events. I was pissed when Osweiller bolted for Houston. Now, I'm kind of "meh" but he's a cheap, relatively solid backup for now. I don't see him competing for the starting gig in Denver ever, though.

I'm less concerned about the return of Oz and more worried about Elway's QB draft record. Not sure if Lynch can make it now. I wonder how Paxton feels about our new backup?

No doubt Oz is happy, he gets 700+grand from Denver and 16 mil also. He hopes he holds clipboard all year.

I actually sent Elway a tweet right before the pick of something like "Please don't make the mistake of picking Osweiler". Then of course the pick happened. Pretty sure my wife thought I was dying by how loud of a scream I let out at the tv.

And I was with you in not giving him a big contract. His play in 2015 was average at best and he was about to be paid like a top-10 QB (of the time). I thought Elway's first contract offer was more than fair. I don't blame Osweiler though for holding out and taking the big money. His family is set for life because of that decision.

Now having him back at the price we have him I really like the signing. I think he is a quality backup and a guy that can push Siemian/Lynch for the starting gig. I don't think there is all that much difference between the 3 in what they would bring to the field. They offer a little bit different skill sets of course but all of them I think get us about the same record for the year.
