PS. Western Mich giving Darnold and SC all they can handle right now
Yeah when Lynch comes back and if he can't beat out Oz for number two spot before seasons end, that will be a very bad thing. Maybe bringing in Oz will at least maybe get Lynch to step it up. If not, consider Te or something. Hell, maybe Oz beats out TS too ! Sam Darnold welcome to Mile High buddy !
Yeah DC ya got to give all the top teams and the top Qbs some time to get in rhythm, settle down (coaching too ) the refs ( god they're starting out ( badder ) than usual, etc, etc. I expect the top teams/players to be in full throttle by wk 3. They don't get much time to prepare either. Now that teams are scheduling top ranked teams in openers because the system now, and deservedly so, isn't penalizing early season losses vs top tier teams and actually giving " points " now for toughing up schedules vs smashing lower tier teams that quite frankly has been backfiring on them anyway these days , has been a good thingI was at the Iowa/Wyoming game. Josh Allen was not impressive. Iowa D was great... But you can tell Allen has the tools. Not much help on the offense with him at Wyoming. He needs out of there. lol
Lynch expected to be out 5 weeks
Osweiler back makes complete sense if you take the emotional side of things out of the decision...
1) Very cheap. Broncos don't have a ton of cap space and are trying to carry over as much as they can. Browns are paying most of the bill with the Broncos only having to pay the vet minimum.
2) Familiarity with the organization. He knows the building and many of the weapons are still the same. So already some chemistry if he would say be needed week 1.
3) Knows some of the system...maybe a better way of putting it would be he knows the language used in the system. Yes Osweiler was here when McCoy was here for the 2012 season. So wouldn't be completely in the dark. At this point if you are bringing in a veteran you need a guy that already has some understanding of the system.
4) Still has some actual ability. Yes he has not been good all the time. He has shown some flashes though and maybe the Houston/Cleveland experience has humbled him a bit and changed his view on his talent level. Not saying he comes in and becomes a top-10 QB but still has some ability if say he were asked to start.
Agree 100%
Weird though at first
It is weird. Feels like when you break up with your girlfriend and bad mouth them for a bit to only then get back together.

Well now that she knows she's not better than you it might actually work.
Oz coming back and TJ getting cut made today a disappointing day. I get it is a business. Just disappointed one of my favorite players was cut. I was supportive of Oz the first time around, but not a fan of his at this point.
Why are people mad at him?
For wanting a different opportunity? Feeling like he is doing what is best for him?
That's life folks!
It's like a college recruit when they have your team on their list and choose another team when it comes down to the wire.
It's a decision they make in their life for whatever reason they have..
I think Osweiler is a bit of a bonehead like LGM, but I am not upset with him for feeling his best route was another direction in which it failed for him. That's part of life.
