Franklin's growth last year was actually huge and really impressive. He went from being a total liability in the pre-season to making big plays down the stretch. If he keeps that up sky is the limit.

This. Honestly, had Nix hit him on a few of those deep bombs, the narrative around the NFL would be significantly different.

1. I know Franklin should have caught a 45 yard TD against the Raiders but it slipped through his hands.
2. Nix missed him for what should have been a 29 yard TD in the 2nd quarter against the Ravens.
3. Nix also missed Franklin wide open against the Saints on the first drive I believe. It would have been a 41 yard TD but he threw it between Franklin and Krull.
4. Nix missed on a 3rd down overthrow against the Bengals in OT that would have been, at minimum a 30 yard catch...possibly more...even a TD had Franklin made some magic happen(probably not)

If they can find their connection, Franklin will be a stud.

I was at the game of point #1.. Was in the EZ where that pass was. No excuses, he should have caught it but seeing and being there in person it wasn't as easy as it looked. Should have caught it though. Not an easy catch like some people around here tried to make it out to be though.

Agree, Franklin's stats could have been pretty impressive if they hit on a few of those above plays. He really progressed as the year went on and Payton is very excited about him. Can't wait for more of Mims/Franklin in 2025!

I think my takeaway is that...forgetting the stats, it is no coincidence that Franklin gets open deep. He does have that skill in his bag.
