Entertaining show... I liked it. Definitely affects teams differently. Pens flourishing, Caps tanking.

As long as this is the only goal for your team, it's a good point

Absolutely loved the first episode. Loved BB's rant, loved the off the ice stuff. A couple of thoughts:

1) HBO really is amazing, they only had a week to turn that raw footage into the final product. Real real quality.

2) I think it worked out real well that the Caps went on this losing streak and the Pens were winning. HBO did a great job playing the contrasting streaks, and it really made for a good storyline in a way.

3) Great to see Scotty Hannan get some airtime, Ive met him a couple times and hes always one of my favroties.

4) It was only one episode, but I really didnt feel like either team had a natural leader. I imagine that most locker rooms have one or two "natural born leaders" that sort of rally the guys and people listen to. Ive heard Danny Boyle is that guy for us. I feel like Crosby is too quiet and soft spoken (not a knock on him at all, just his personality), and OV is just OV (again, not a knock).

Fuck sounded very fake though, kinda got annoying like they were going out of their way to say it every other word. I say it a lot, but it sounds natural, lol... Aside from that, I liked it a lot.

I'm very interested to see what was said in the Caps' locker room after period 1 of the game vs. Ottawa.

Fans at Verizon tonight chanting "We want Pittsburgh" during the waning moments of a Devils' clown-stomping. Seems like something HBO will toss in at show's end as this weeks' episode I'm sure will close out with the coming game between the two teams.

Real psyched for tomorrow night's episode.

Loved tonight's episode. Makes me proud to be a Caps fan... but more than that, a hockey fan.

another great episode! Really like the how the refs respect the "code" of the sport during the Asham-Avery scrap.

I'm watching it as I type this... Why the fuck is Green riding a scooter in the beginning of the winter?

really enjoyed it as well.

sure made me root for the Caps to end their streak.
taking 2 pts from the Sens was like winning the damned cup.

OV sure lives in humble stylings.
I'm assuming he also has kick-ass bachelor pad to bring his bitches.

I thought that was odd too - in moccasins no less. I know he does have a Lambo though also.

Most of the guys on the team seem to live in medium-sized houses in Arlington (close to Kettler) as opposed to buying McMansions in the 'burbs

I thought the part where Craig Adams' kid was naming all the players was freaking adorable.

on the Pens side, it kind of bugged me to that Bylsma's speech going into the 3rd period was "hey, lets go out there and draw some penalties"

but it was awesome to see 66 on the ice again. still so fucking smooth.

He's still got the moves, but he looked really slow/old beyond his years. Then again, Mario has lived a lot of life and lived some it close to death, so it's nice to see him out there.

I love that he named them all with nicknames. Best part, coming up to his dad "Crrraig" "What? No, who is that?" "...Craig?" "*Laughs* How about daddy?"
His kid was also the cute little chubby one in the team Canada jersey last episode...the one that went "I'm gonna go on the icccce." Love seeing the family side of these guys.

He DID look real slow...but that was the first 'game' he's played in 5 years. Showed he still has the hands though. Ohh baby he was close on that one shot. Loved hearing his chatter too. New Year's Eve is gonna be FUN.

I'm assuming he meant if we play like the Penguins try to play - offensive zone domination, cycling - they will draw penalties, not "go out there and dive".

Yeah, I took at it like Loki did, too. I've actually like Bylsma's speeches, Boudreau's too, save the one fuck-filled rant. I am surprised by how short they generally are. I can't tell if it's editing, but it seems like they come in the room, talk for 30-60 seconds, and that's it.
