Well, I enjoyed that immensely. Despite having to relive most of the Caps recent failures, it is always interesting to get an inside look.

I particularly enjoyed the "Fucking come on for fuck sakes!" from Ovie after the Dubinsky fight.

I have to say, despite being to practices constantly and seeing the more human side of the Caps players, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Pens parts due to this. I guess I always imagined them as some heinous monsters who I must abhor. But, it is really fun to watch them just live their everyday lives and able to have fun like anyone else.

Great episode. I have a feeling I'll have a lot more respect for the Caps after this.

Highlights:

Bylsma: "Let's grind these bitches down."
OV: "He has sensitive skin, no?"
After the prank (which was awesome): "We're going to hunt down whoever did this... and do nothing about it." Rookies know their place.
Backstrom at the outdoor rink.

Lowlights:

Not seeing that supposedly other side of Sid. Still a robot.
Early closeup of Boudreau with food all over his face. WTF, makeup crew.

Overall I was just pumped seeing behind the scenes Penguins stuff. I think it's apparent they feel a lot less pressure than the Caps, I'm sure some of that is their respective records recently, but I think it's there regardless.

Let's wait and see Sid after two losses.

Also, lol @ Fleury's jumping jacks before a save in the Moustache Boy competition. Watching the encore...

No, just Matt Cooke.

I've always thought the Pens' players are largely a group of good guys. I hate them b/c they are a rival and b/c I lived and watched the years of 3-1 leads in series only to fold to the Pens. (and to beat you to it - no, I don't mean last year ;) )

I've been at work late, stopped by the Caps' game for two periods, so I'm heading home to see this now. Based on what I've read in this thread, it's gonna be great.... and much better than that #$#ing game.

I must agree with most of you all...this will (SHOULD) result in an overall increase in respect for the opposing team. Caps are obviously under a tremendous amount of pressure, and need to loosen up. Gained a lot of respect for Bourdeau, lost some for OV (didn't wanna see the jock strap, thank you...), overall extremely entertaining. I wanna see the opposites now (adversity Pens and winning Caps), which we probably will, but I really love this show. Awesome. Pure awesome (OTHER than BB with food on the face and HAND IN PANTS?)

This is even better than I thought it was going to be. Not just the hockey, but the shots of the city, everything. Phenomenal.

A couple thoughts...
-Max Talbot is hilarious
-Ted Leonsis is brilliant
-Funny seeing Ovechkin in a Sabres' sweatshirt as a kid

He was certainly trying his hardest to steal the show. The santa thing was also brilliant...such a player.

I liked the show but I did find it to have a bit of a "contrived" feel to it. No more contrived than any other "reality" series, but a bit so, none the less.

I had a feeling it would. The interviews on HBO in the weeks before the show aired, when they would say Fuck, it sounded like it came out of a 8 year olds mouth.
