I'm not sure who else has seen it yet, but apparently a video on youtube posted after the game shows Jmac obviously mad, and he appears to say something along the lines of "they are (expletive) booing us on a powerplay! They are (expletive) selfish!

Well Mac, I don't know about you, but if I was paying somewhere around $50-$100 to watch a game, I sure would be pissed to watch an unmotivated team get t-bagged all over the face. Then, the best coaching move you can think of is putting our high profile free agent signing on the fourth line as some sort of punishment.

If his goal is to alienate his players, at least he's actually succeeding at something post playing career.

Not doubting you, but I'd love to see that video if you can dig it up. That would be my last straw with him.

All I know is, went to the game last night that I thought would be an ok draw attendance wise. 11,000 people at the game. How many casual fans that spend $200 bucks to take their family to the game will ever go again after watching that disaster? J Mac may not be to blame but he has to go just for the sake of changing something up. A lot easier to replace coaches than players and clearly something needs to change. We need a veteran coach that can discipline this team and hold them accountable. I think Hitchcock is available.

I think that is what the holdup is. Lou has to find a good guy for the job that is available now. I dont think Mac is here for long. Just didnt work out for him. Who knows, temperment, respect of the players, whatever. Epic Fail.

we are beyond panic mode now and in trying to salvage season mode...this wouldnt be making a change to just make a change. this team needs a shakeup and unfortunately you cant fire players.

And it's the same Lou that fired Claude Julien 3 games or whatever before the playoffs cause "he didn't think the team was ready"? I don't think I need to say anything else.

Firing Claude Julien was so moronic. Lou's explanation of it was a nonsense. He is aging like half of our team. Change needs - desperately.

I think that Julian firing was the start of the end. Not because if it was stupid or not there just wasn't a reason to do it. He wanted to do what he did in 2000. This is what you get when you give someone unchecked power...no one holds him accountable for anything

Yes because the Devils havent won any division titles or anything since firing Julian. And dont even try to sell me that "Cup or nothing" stuff. Thats fine if you're a player, but the Devils winning the Stanley Cup doesnt put more money in to my pocket. Saying his firing was "the start of the end" is one of the biggest pieces of spoilment and entitlment I've ever read.

Based on consequences - it looks like that it was a start of the end of Lou being great and even good. He spoiled this season's start and not doing anything to fix it. In such situation like we are now, any average manager would either replace coach (or all coaches) or made necessary trades to shake up his team. We only hear from out TV broadcasters how terrific our coaching staff is and it is kind of strange why this team is underperforming. lol. Maybe at least for a change we need to replace TV comentators.

so winning division titles puts money in your pocket? 45 win regular seasons dont put money in my pocket either...nor does watching broduer pad his regular season stats.

We're not in trying to salvage the season mode. It's over. I pointed out at the 10 game mark that only no teams in the last 3 years made the playoffs with a 10 game start as bad as ours. We needed to turn it around ASAP. Since that point, Marty has been hurt, and Parise's out for 8 more weeks. Welcome to rebuilding mode. Frankly Cup, I'm a little surprised by the line your taking. You pointed out this summer that we should sign Kovalchuk and Parise and rebuild from there. Looks like that's what's going to happen. We're not going to catch up at this point. It would take a miracle.

Do you know what that means? That Devils fans pay to watch winners no Kovy as Vanderbeek thought.

nah because even if they were atop the conference they would of only got 11 for that game too...now say they were atop with a kovy scoring consistantly then yeah i can see it being a sell out.
