We are less then a month before kickoff and now less then a month before the Oregon-Nebraska game and I don't seen many threads being created on your own board about the upcoming season or the big time non conference game the Cornhuskers have with the Oregon Ducks.

Makes me think the enthusiasm for Nebraska football must be declining with each passing year it gets further from the 1990's.

Was really looking forward to some good banter with the so called "Greatest Fans in College Football" and seeing the great "sea of red" invade Autzen Stadium. Seems this is all just something I will continue to read in the history books of college football.

Keep your chins up Cornhusker fans. That run you guys had 20 something years ago was incredible and current recruits most certainly will enjoy googling that or Wikipedia searching that decade, since of course they weren't around to witness it.

College football is a great tradition and great thing to experience. Don't let mediocracy ruin your fandom.

I had to google oregons great run as well but all I saw was faint skid marks vs 30 straight years of being awesome. If our OC was worth a shit a guy might get excited, get your head outta your ass OD

Oh God they even have their big brother Ohio State now fighting their battles.

Not fighting their battles @ all. With the exception of those assholes in ann arbor I'm a BigTen fan. Can you get me Uncle Phil's autograph?:hope:

Also the Huskers have a lot more CFB glory on their resume than your Quack Attack.

Oh not happy with your coaching staff? Year 3 of Riley and you guys are still in the "rebuilding, wait and see period" Yeah, that really has the sense this'll work out.

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and say they may not be able to post because they are harvesting, but these days those tractors have WiFi and computers in them.

I'm not following the narrative you've chosen here, your reply has literally nothing to do with what I said. I'm all for talking smack when the game is closer but it just doesn't seem right yet with you wearing that avy Pants got you

Did you not just say your weren't excited about your OC? The guy who has been there for 3 years and apart of Riley's staff?

So I said it is not a good sign when in year 3 you're still not excited about your staff and still rebuilding in the wait and see. Year 3 of a coaching staff, you should not be rebuilding. Things should start to be rolling in the direction that staff wants to be.

Yeah however I was implying that we've been to the top vs wanting to get there and or not knowing what it's like

Edit, OC was abv for Ooc

I am cornfused by this thread also.

The game will basically be a battle to see which team might be in the Top 25 after the game. Neither team has high expectations. Nebraska lost all of its offensive skill players, has a new DC, new pro style pocket passer, and its top three tacklers. Oregon comes off of a really, really bad defensive year and has installed new coaches.

Are oregon fans excited about Oregon football? you seem to be a bunch of fair weather fans....

Oregon Ducks hoping for uptick in football ticket sales as season approaches

Looks like a 15% drop since the winning seasons of 2011

"After selling 37,404 season tickets last season, Oregon had sold 35,643 as of Wednesday, down 4.7 percent, according to figures provided by the school. (UO sold a record 43,295 in 2011.)"

110 game sellout streak ends. pfffft 110

"In college athletics, selling football tickets isn't just about filling a stadium -- as UO had done for 110 consecutive home games, until that streak ended last September. It's also about filling an athletic department's coffers, and balancing its budget."

Wait, reading further, at the point the article was written ONLY ONE OREGON GAME WAS A SELLOUT

"The only home game not open for single-game sales is Nebraska, on Sept. 9. Short of purchasing a ticket on the secondary market, the only way to watch the Huskers is to buy either a full season ticket or three-game mini-plan. The game is considered UO's only sellout so far, though the school still has mini-plans and season tickets available for purchase."

I do a search on ticketmaster for Oregon tickets,

Nebraska $149
Washington State $75
Utah $75

Yup, the Nebraska game tickets are twice as much as Washington State or Utah.
