"They (camera crews) didn't put no blood, sweat and tears into none of this. All these men in here, they did that. They did nothing. No one deserves to see this, to come inside of this unless you're a part of this. "
James Harrison

- James Harrison, explaining his distaste for the "Hard Knocks" experience.

......

well, your old fans had a much easier product to observe for the last few decades.

like the fire though.

I think he's got a lot of it backwards. It's not like they get to show up and audition for jobs or take his job away. They are simply covering what they do. Without the media, the NFL would not be where it is with regards to money. Without those guys, guys like Harrison wouldn't be getting nearly what they get paid. He should be thankful that people are there to cover him, and the team, so that the exposure for the NFL can continue to get big commercial contracts, TV contracts, and continue to draw fans to watch games and pay his salary.

I think a lot of it is just for show, though.

at least Hugh got hired i don't think anyone in their right mind would hire roid rage Harrison.

LOL! A Ravens fan craying about PEDs. Does your Ray Lewis jersey come with Deer Antler Spray? How about the Suggs jersey? Do they give those away with HGH?

No Ravens fan should be allowed to complain about Steelers players. Ever. For any reason. Whatever you think of James Harrison...he never killed anybody.

I can see where Harrison is coming from. I can see where some fans disagree with him as well, along with media.

Harrison sees the NFL as a mens country club, only the members deserve to enjoy the benefits of it. The locker room, the film rooms, the lives and trials of being an NFL star. It is private, it is special, and they have given everything in which they are to be where they are. The Hard Knocks is just invited in and able to see that special life experience without having to endure what NFL players had to in order to be part of that club.

On the other hand, a professional athlete's life is hardly private in any manner. The media has paid out the ass to ensure they get these special events and life experiences on film to entice fans to want to continue paying them for these features. It gives the fans a chance to be closer to their favorite athletes without having to endure that same sweat, blood and tears, in turn, the media takes on the risk of selling enough advertising to cover the tv contracts with the NFL. The media is paying for those athletes lives to be open game, and the players are rewarded financially to offset those annoyances.

I can see both sides. Each is entitled to their opinion, but I think the media has the upper hand. Fortunately it is only Harrison that wants it to be the old school boys club it used to be.

no, it's was just a lame and expected, same with the post calling Lewis a murderer. It's played out and weak, so it' only make sense that Bengals fans use it. Congrats you picked up a head case former Steeler.

Eh, let him go. He's upset that they didn't sign him. Instead, they signed that stallwart LB from Oakland that has turned into a super signing. Nice job B-more.

Harrison is not the brightest bulb of the lot, but I understand where he's coming from, it's more of a distraction than anything...Hardknocks has no bearing on the players income, etc. For those who want to get some insight on training camp, it's decent entertainment.

He was a helluva football player, borderline HOFer imo...today, he's solid.
