Harmon Killebrew ends cancer fight, enters hospice care

Baseball hall-of-famer Harmon Killebrew is ending his fight with esophageal cancer and going home to enter hospice care there. You younger members probably never heard of him, but us old folk remember him as a great home run hitter and a class act. God be with you Harmon.

They don't give you a statue unless you were something special and Harmon Killebrew has been immortalized in front of Target Field. The man put up some impressive numbers in his career (safe to say his home runs were non-steroid enhanced). Ball parks were a lot bigger when he played as well.

Growing up I didnt hear about him like Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Lou Gerigh, etc. but I knew that he was a pretty good ball player. RIP
