Never was a fan of halaween when I was a kid but now I get to see my nieces and nephews enjoy it. But the weather looks bad for tomorrow

They are pushing back Halloween to Friday in Montreal as 70 mm of rain is expected to fall tomorrow.
At the risk of sounding like someone Dash's age here, WTF??

Halloween is October 31, regardless of what happens. At what point did we collectively decide that we're somehow obligated to provide candy to kids to the point that we can randomly re-schedule?

/end grumpy old man rant

I remember some pretty cold Halloween nights as a kid (wind chills taking the temp way below freezing), but the candy temptation kept up going until the pillow cases were bursting at the seams. Kids are soft these days.

We never had a traditional halloween growing up in the country...we'd dress up, but then drive to a few different relatives' houses, and usually into the small town nearby. There weren't that many houses giving out candy there, though.

Happy Halloween all.

How are your dogs doing ?

Seems this is the halloween to end all halloweens with the fireworks ban coming tomorrow. Rumo(u)red $1000 fines next year for setting off fireworks without a license so everyone has spent about a grand this year and is sending 2020 out with a bang. Symphony of fire level fireworks displays going off in my neighbourhood.

I gotta be an old fart now because my wife asked me to go buy some fireworks this week but i told her i would rather just throw a bunch of 5 dollar bills into a fire pit and burn them !
