Getting 4 off Kimbrel was sweet. His numbers were solid heading into tonight.

I'm really loving what Tolleson has done to right the ship. Since May ended he has 11 appearances for 13 innings and allowed 1 ER. 11k/3BB and 8 hits. Averaging 15 pitches an inning.

Really hope that what was ailing him is gone and we can get him back and trustworthy down the stretch. Would love to see him slotted into the 8th inning guy and let Diekman go about as our rally killer or shut down specialist.

He said with the strike zone Joe West has and facing a team like the Red Sox it was miraculous that they did not score more. He said West was not calling the edges at all. But I did not see it so I am taking his word for it.

It was all over the map. In the first or second inning there was an atbat, where the first pitch was just outside and called a strike. Then the third pitch on an 0-2 count was the EXACT same spot and a ball.

I also think the pitch tracker screws with us. Some of those pitches that broke really hard and looked way low and away to lefties were showing on the tracker as touching the bottom right corner pretty solidly.

Tolleson has definitely looked much better since returning and not being in the closer's role.

Good win... Heck of a game. Seems like Choo is a glass cannon, the guy just can't stay healthy. All I want for christmas is a Rangers win tomorrow ( or a Mariners win) those 2 teams were supposed to beat each other up, but Mariners are shitting the bed.
