I got a voice mail from Steve saying that he suffered a leg injury and has been admitted to hospital. I don't have any more details at this time, but if I learn anything more, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

The first step to healing is mentally and for that you need to be happy. I wonder in Paulina Gretzky and her lovely brunette friend would be our wrestlers for this charity event?

But seriously man hope you're ok & get well quick..

Thanks all, I did spend six days in the hospital because I had some severe pain and numbness in my legs. My feet are a nasty blue color and very painful.

I've been home for a few days now and will get the results of blood testing and a muscle biopsy this coming Tuesday morning. They are saying it could be rhabdomyolysis? (some kind of break down in the muscle fiber). I have been reading a lot about it and just get more confused the more I read. Pix probably has a pretty good idea about what it is. It can be caused my many things and we just need to find out what the hell is going on.

It sucks because it is painful and I hate walking with a cane but I am doing as I'm told.

That's why I wasn't around for a while.

Thank You fellows SportsHoopla posters for your thought's and now I just wait until Tuesday.

I think that is what happened to those football players that were overtrained...I think. It's a dangerous thing because the breakdown of myoglobin can be harmful to the kidneys. Yadda yadda yadda. Glad to hear you're back and doing better Boss!

Thanks pix, I keep seeing that word "myoglobin", I'm going to do a Google and see what that's about. Thanks again.

It's weird, I don't drink or take any illegal drugs (so that's out). I do take a pain med for my back and neck plus med's for blood pressure but they have been the same for a while now so no changes there.

Edit: I did read where it is dangerous to the kidneys as well.

Myoglobin is an iron- and oxygen-binding protein found in the muscle tissue of vertebrates in general and in almost all mammals.

OK, that answers why they did two MRI's of the spine.

I'm learning. :D

They probably did MRIs to see if it was neurologically related (nerves in the spine can become impinged and create numbness and tingling in the extremities). When I've learned about this it's involved overtraining and distance runners...so not really related to your situation.
