You hear everyone talk about Pedroia's 7 year 100 million dollar extension. Every announcer lushing up to this deal. Confirmed, Pedroia is Boston's Jeter.

I actually heard someone say last night that the team celebrating this deal most is the Yankees.

Cano is a fucking moron for dumping Boras.

More news from stupid Boston

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is scheduled to meet reporters for the first time since Aaron Hernandez's arrest at an afternoon press conference. The former Patriots tight end has pleaded not guilty to a first- degree murder charge in the death of Odin Lloyd.

TSN: The Baltimore Orioles bolstered their bullpen on Tuesday by acquiring right- hander Francisco Rodriguez from the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league infielder Nick Delmonico. The 31-year-old Rodriguez is 1-1 with a 1.09 ERA and 10 saves in 25 games this season, his third with Milwaukee. In 707 games, all in relief, for the Angels, Mets and Milwaukee, he has a record of 39-35 with 304 saves and a 2.64 ERA. His 304 career saves tie Jeff Montgomery for 21st on the all-time Major League list. Rodriguez is unscored upon in 22 of his 25 appearances this season. The 21-year-old Delmonico was selected by the Orioles in the sixth round of the 2011 draft. He batted .244 with 13 home runs and 30 RBI in 60 games with Class-A Frederick this season.

TSN: Major League Baseball Players Association executive director Michael Weiner announced on Tuesday that Tony Clark has been elevated to the role of deputy executive director. The move was unanimous, as Clark was approved by a vote of 26-0. The 41-year- old has served as MLBPA director of player relations since March of 2010. A 15-year veteran who suited up for six clubs, Clark was active in union affairs as a player, serving as a club player representative for the Red Sox and Diamondbacks and spent his last several seasons as an associate player representative. Adding Clark at the top level of the union will serve as a buffer since Weiner, who has held his position since taking over for Don Fehr in December of 2009, is in the midst of a prolonged battle with brain cancer.

Absolutely

Here is how much we appreciate you Robbie

We will give you the same 7 years as Pedroia and he is 2 years younger

And we know you're the better player, so we will add 40million on top of Pedroias 100

That leaves the Yankees at a number they have always been comfortable with 7/140

He was never getting 10 or 200 from this ownership, so this Pedroia thing makes things quite interesting

The Cubs and Mets still seem darhorses to me

I've heard the Tigers which would just about make one of the most hilarious lineups ever

The Dodgers are starting to strike me as a team that could be playing deep into October, not sure if that makes them more or less aggressive on Cano

Or is he just taking time to calm himself after a morning on a 12 story ledge?

Ron Darling said this last nights game when I turned it on:

"I can't think of anyone better in baseball who deserves this kind of contract, this is great for the game"

Pedroia is Jeter.

Mets maybe. Tigers too.

I don't see him with the Cubs. No tangible reason why...just don't.

That's where careers go to die. (And lots of people at the hands of gang members)

it wasn't great for the Red Sox, but it was great for baseball?

What the fuck is that all about?

This is when you Jeterize a player.

I just want that Soriano in pinstripes and I'll take 2 months of him, Granderson, Jeter and the great Eduardo Nunez

I think at the very least, I may have most of 2 months with a reason to seem interested
