1999 Jeter scored 134 runs. Pedroia leads the league one season with 115.

"See"??

Jeters 99 season destroys Pedroia's MVP season.

Nomar

Lol

Tejada yes

From 1997-2004 (nomar's prime and thus the time frame)

Nomar: (actually 98-04, his rookie year) .

324/.372/.551 OPS .922 OPS+ 133 178 HR's 694 RBI

Jeter 97-04 (he came up a year earlier)

.315/.386/.463 OPS .849 150 HR's 686 RBI

1 year less and he had more RBI and home runs...while out producing him at a significant margin...

"it's all about BA/HR/RBI...except when it doesn't suit my argument"

~ dirt

Oh...LMAO at Tejada....FAR worse numbers over that same time frame...

What if he sucks the next 7 years?

Did Jeter suck his whole contract?

Dont answer, I know he sucked

Ahhh...the "what if" game..

What if he grows a foot and starts hitting 45 HR's a year?

What if he grows a second head?

I love this game...

yes they certainly are

but flashes in the pan have come and gone, so i will wait 2-3 years on those 2

Fair enough. But for me its a case by case basis.

Do you need 2-3 years to realize Trout is awesome? Obviously i'm using an extreme example. But there is certain recognition between talent levels

Yeah, Id need to see a lot more from Carpenter. But I'm getting pretty close to saying that about Kipnis. He need to finish out the year first though...

Only when he's on the road, so it's only roughly 81 games (71 if injured roughly). We just need to know who your version of MPL is going to be.

Take yer pick

You have 5 choices in here alone

You can extend it to 2006. Nomah still has better numbers than the ankle.

Why are you guys comparing a 2b and SS?
Shouldn't it be Cano vs Pedroia.

Red Sox had musical chairs at SS so Jeter wins that debate.

So we cant compare what Jeter did when he was Pedroia's age? Well that's just awesome.

You can't handle the fact that Pedroia is the new Jeter.

You want to start comparing their numbers up to age 29-30?
