I think he is going to need at least 2 more years before he's ready for the majors. If he is ever ready.

News flash: We need somebody next year, not two or three years.
David DeJesus, anyone?

I hate to say it, but if the Reds are on a budget next year, I'd let Arroyo's $11 mil walk and give it to Choo. Ludwick's $10 mil WILL be gone after 2014 regardless of having to pay him in 2013..and if we could keep Choo, I might pay him to play for someone else that might give us a AAA LOOGY that could actually get 1 out every 3 days. I'd try hard to find enough bucks to at least offer Choo 3 years $40 mil or so... but, I'd try to make him a LF. Robinson, Hamilton, Paul might be worth a CF look... I'd feel better giving the cash to Choo than DeJesus if its a choice to make. If the Reds can get by until the next Jay Bruce comes out of the farm, they'll save son cash that guys like Cueto and Bailey are going to get by then.

Choice between Choo and DeJesus is a non-doubter.
Choo isn't going to sign unless N. Korea attacks.
The question with Ludwick is the shoulder. It affects bat speed, not his throwing.
Rolen went to waste because his bat slowed down, not his fielding.
Hamilton *may* be all right and he will play ahead of Robinson. IF he can hit.
I have my doubts unless he goes straight to being a RH hitter. Screw the switch hitting.

I just have my doubts about Hamilton being in the majors, any time soon. Especially next year.

Hamilton's OBP was fine up until the first half of this year.

I say we give him the rest of this season, plus next spring before any judgement is made on his MLB ability.

Little difference between single A, and triple A.

Meant to say there is a little difference between the two.

There is, but he tore up AA as well.

He might be worthless. All I'm saying is let's give the guy some more time before we declare him as such.

Guys have off years. Plus, he is learning a new position. Let's see how he does this 2nd half and next spring at least.

Look at Chris Davis. That guy was awful in Texas, was given up for dead, and now look.

Hamilton has something no other player has, and it can't be taught.

I haven't seen Hamilton hit this year. All I know is what I see on the stats sheet.
For all I know, he's just not having any luck. He is stealing bases.

Choo is going to get a big contract from someone. Just hope it's not the damned Cards.

Choo would be a real nice fit for the Cardinals.
