We're coming up to the halfway mark in the 2024 season. Where does everyone see our beloved Broncos?

Definitely ahead of schedule. I think most if they were being honest were just hoping this would be a year where a few of the younger players would emerge and we would hopefully learn that Nix is the QB of the future that we can build around for a playoff run in 2025 and beyond. The fact that they are in the thick of things right now and could really cement their chances of the playoffs with a huge win tomorrow shows how far this team has come.

I think we can also point to the fact that more young players have emerged than we thought possible. Nix is looking better each week. Forsyth I think has locked in that starting spot moving forward at Center. Defensively we have Moss, Bonitto, Jones, Strnad as all unproven players that have emerged. Then you throw in guys like DJ Jones, Malcom Roach, Cody Barton, Zach Allen, and Cooper all playing to the highest levels of their career and this team is just playing way beyond any ones imagination.

I mean listen to the national media talk about this roster before the season began. They were speaking of it as one of the worst rosters they had seen in a long time for the NFL and the Broncos would be competing for the 1st overall pick in the draft kind of conversation.

About where I thought they would be. I see an 8-9 record at the end of the year. Nix has shown some promise but by no means has he shown he he is a surefire franchise guy. He still misses way to many plays that are there for the taking. Defense has been good but have feasted on really weak teams and I bet we end up around 15th ranked defense at the end of the year, which isn't bad at all, but not elite like everyone thinks.

Ellis and Franklin have shown to be pretty good pickups where they were drafted, but we are still two years away from competing and that is with Bo really becoming the guy and I just can't say that he will yet. I really hope his growth continues as our franchise hopes depend on it.

Good analysis. I see a lot of things I really do like about Bo. I’m going to temper my critiques of him this year because he is a rookie. The thing I like most about him is he doesn’t seem to get rattled easily. Seems like a natural leader. He wants to be the man. I think this off-season will be a blessing for him
