Just got home from the game. Real lackluster effort from the Caps tonight. They had few quality opportunities, got beat to practically every loose puck and had very little net presence. Very disappointing.

The power play really needs to get going. It does seem like Alex Semin is getting closer and closer. Mike Green . . . well I am not going to pile on him. Suffice it to say he didn't have a good game. I'm frustrated. I think they will go up to Montreal and win, that said this series should have been over tonight. This is a team that the Caps should beat, they had everything going for them and they laid an egg tonight.

Now, the positive. John Carlson continues to impress. He seemed to be on his game and played well with the puck. Ovie was Ovie. Biggest positive? Thousands of people singing O' Canada in Verizon Center. Pretty surreal.

I was afraid we were going to BOO in response to what happend in game 3

We had a couple of boo birds in our section, but they were very quickly drowned out. I tend to sing it when the Great White North ventures into Verizon, this was the first time others were participating.

Kill em' with class.

It was quite a scene.

On a completely different note, I had THE most annoying fan next to me. He was a "SHOOT!" fan. Every 3 seconds when the caps had the puck, and sometimes when they didn't, he would yell at them for not shooting. Atleast 5 different times he said shoot when the puck was either behind the net, or at center ice. It wasn't the best fan to sit next to thats for sure

Nice. Glad to hear it. Aren't we a couple of good allies with one of the longest "open" borders in the world? I don't get the booing, frankly, and glad to hear the Capitals' fans kept it classy.

Sorry a few of you didn't get to see a better game. It is disappointing seeing it on TV, but even worse to experience it live.

Yeah. I've got one of those around me . . . right next to me actually . . . and it happens to be the season ticket holder that shares tickets with me . . . who happens to be my mom. It kills me!

Watching NHL on the Fly. Just saw that Belanger yanked a tooth out of his skull on the bench after the high stick he took. Pretty badass.

I won't complain too much. That is only the second loss I have been to this year. The place was jazzed tonight too, everyone was fired up very loud even after the Caps were down 2.

It's a little frustrating for me. I don't go to that many games through out the year, and this year I only went to 2 games (one was a gift) durring the year saving up for the playoffs. It's disappointing to see such a lackluster performance, but its hockey, right? I can't be too upset.

Versus finally decided to show Caps. Caps for some reason decided to skip 1st period. The rest is history: Halak got into the groove, Caps started rushing things, etc.

What puzzles me most - Caps are probably the biggest team in NHL, they don't seem to use their size well.

Nice to hear that we didn't pay them back in kind with the anthem thing. Not a big deal, but if it becomes an anthem pissing match, it just takes away from the games. Hopefully we don't hear any more about it.
