I took Gurley in my fantasy league. Anyways, I was wondering what role is he gonna play in the offense once healthy?

He will most likely share carries evenly with Mason, until he establishes he is fully healthy and the better back. I'm thinking between week 4-6 he will be the starter.

I think they'll take it easy on him his 1st season, if that's the case he'll be lucky to get 700 yrds.

I hope it was a dynasty league you took him in, otherwise you may be very disappointed in his numbers this year as the Rams will be very cautious with him and will share carries with Mason when he is healthy.

I took him in our dynasty league. Only cost me $24 with a $200 budget

Boy, I hope Gurley stays healthy. The Rams' running game could be special if we have a decent OL. Right now, that is a big "if".

I agree....cant wait to see this kid play! IMO, he is our ace in the hole! I betcha Fisher is counting on him to save his ass so to speak. If our run game sucks this year, well it will probably be do to our o-line. I just hope that this doesn't kill the kids confidence or the qbs(AKA Bam Sadford). It seems like our whole season is dependent on the play of the o-line.

The Rams have waited way too long to address the O-line of which has been in decline for nearly 15 years since our Superbowl O-line. This was and is a mistake. As you pointed out zeke, the O-line is the bedrock of the offense and can affect the success and greatness of many positions outside of it.

He had major off season knee surgery and probably won't do much this season.

You might be right Guns N Guitars. That injury he sustained in college may take longer to heal than many are reporting.

They originally said it would probably be Week 5 or so in the regular season before he would be ready to play. Now it is bumped up to Week 1. Not unlike the Rams to move up an ACL recovery timeline to that of Adrian Peterson's anomaly recovery timeline.

Recalls both the Bradford and Long ACL re-injuries.

Boy, that's right Vita. We have Mason and Benny and the Jets, let Gurley sit till week five just to be safe. The thought of another Bradford incident is scary indeed.
