We have watched some boring and bad movies so far, mainly documentaries. My favorite movie we watched was the 1939 film "Only Angels Have Wings" with Cary GrantThat it is. Figured if he's taking intro to Film, Fritz Lang isn't a bad cat to know about.
Is that Orson Welles?

Daughter's Rite (1980): 0/5
Only Angels Have Wings (1939): 3/5
Citizen Kane: 2/5
Miracle Mile (2004): 4/5
High School (1968): 0.5/5
And I have to watch a documentary called "AKA Don Bonus" tonight. I'll let you know how that goes.
I understand I'll get a lot of shit for that rating whenever I talk to people; I just didn't personally enjoy it. It reminded me of The Sopranos a bit, in that, it featured groundbreaking elements of cinema like flashing backwards and forwards and foreshadowing that were great at the time, yet movies 80 years later have been much better at through no fault of Citizen Kane. I will say that there were some interesting and bad ass shots, and Wells did a great job acting. I just didn't like Thatcher as a character, or Mr. Leyland.Citizen Kane only 2 out of 5?
Great movie.
Did you like OAHW? I mildly enjoyed it, particularly Dutchie and Cary Grant's character, along with the blond dame, Judy something or anotherNever heard of the 2004 short Miracle Mile. Only two I caught on that list were Only Angles Have Wings and Citizen Kane. Howard Hawks has a lot of good flicks out there.
Bam. I thought some people were going to guess Fight Club. Check the facial hair...25th Hour.
