GTA 6

FINALLY starting to get some details on the new release almost 10 years after the release of 5. Sounds like it might be a 2023 or 2024 release, though won't be shocked by a 2025 release. Details so far;

-First female lead in a role inspired by Bonnie and Clyde. So it sounds like you'll be able to switch between characters similar to 5. (Both characters are latino)
-Game initially set in Miami but other locations will be added. Even without the other locations added via updates, it sounds like its gonna be massive.

GTA 6 will reportedly feature a female playable character in its campaign for the first time. Rockstar apparently plans to launch the game with a single city, but add more locations over time through updates.

I'm kinda upset that Red Dead Redemption 1 updated is being put on hold until they finish this or finish adding cities which could be awhile. Almost all of the other big games from that time period have been updated (TLOU now twice) so its kinda disappointing as its probably my favorite Rockstar title.

I hate to be like this but so many open world games have come out since 2013 that Im not sure how much this matters until I see it. I think one of the big draws here is if they sneak in Midnight Club elements into the game. One of the areas that most open world games dont seem to focus on is actual driving.

I strongly suspect the script is going to piss off Republicans. Rockstar could be banking on it, too.

I haven't played RDR1 as i have been waiting for the redo on that one to be done, guess i will be waiting a while longer. RDR2 is probably my favorite open world game i have ever played.

Driving games haven't been good since NFS Underground.

Im not big into multiplayer aspects of most games, especially when a lot of things are hidden behind forced matching with other people such as the heists in GTA5 online. I really enjoyed the story and did some online stuff but ive been pretty much waiting since the original PC release of GTA5 for 6, so i can wait a few more years since its been forever at this point.

If RDR2 is your favorite then I'm not 100% sure you'd like RDR1 as much unless it was a remake. RDR2 is too slow for me but it's a really deep experience

It would be cool if Rockstar developed Bully 2 or Manhunt 3 which we know would never happen. Manhunt if you know anything about the game would understand why they would never do another one. Bully 2 I know there were a lot of rumors of them working on it however the project keeps getting nixed.

I think Florida as a map would be cool. Miami/Vice City obviously great, the Everglades, the Keys, Orlando/Disney and then the backwoods/gator hunting areas, ton of potential.

Wish there woulda been some gameplay in that trailer; doesn’t matter though I will buy any GTA. Rockstar has proven to me enough times that I get my money’s worth out of their games.

Even if the rumors I’ve heard are true that it might have a subscription service or the game itself costs $100 or more, I’ll still get it.

Seems like it was a given they’d go back to Vice City after GTA 5 going back to Los Santos. But I’m excited as it looks amazing.
