The rules have changed so much that it's almost a completely different game.

You hot tub time machine the current Warriors and drop them into the NBA of the 90's or even early 2000's, they are going to struggle because they are "too light in the ass" to play that style.

But if you hot tub time machine 90's teams into today's game, they are going to struggle because today's "freedom of movement" rules would make it incredibly difficult for the 90's teams to defend because they wouldn't be able to use their hands.
