NFL Network's Jeff Darlington expects Bengals OC Jay Gruden to be the next Redskins head coach.

Weird.

Unfortunately like Detroit, nobody wants to coach there any more - money or no money. Snider is too much of a fool. Wonder how long it took Cowher to say 'no'?

Both Detroit and Washington will have no problem finding a HC, there still exist only 32 positions, and there will always be good people who want a chance at HC to fill those spots. The key is that the franchise does it's due diligence, matches the correct coach to team, and doesn't make hasty and stupid choices.

I like it. Anything better than Baby Shanny. Wonder if John gets involved. Will Zimmer come with?

The effort is already paying off. Gruden is off the market. (I don't think GK should be anyone's HC next season.) But a hot lunch definitely would have been appreciated.

Unless its all smoke and mirrors regarding Detroit's interest in Whiz then Gruden to Washington should just about seal the deal on his hiring.

RG III should have been the only thing that Whiz might have found intriguing about that possibility. If somehow he ends up in Minnesota, Tennesse, or Cleveland then I'm glad we didn't hire him cause he must not be very bright. None of those teams have anything to work with.

Agree with all but Cleveland. Yes the orginazation blows. Many draft picks and helluva a lot of cap space. Just depends on if the stoogies let him spend on FA's and trade to get him his QB.

You are correct though, why put hole puzzle together when someone already has 80% done for you?

Cleveland will need to find a guy looking for second chance or college coach after fucking Chud after one year. A serious guy will not trust a owner with a short fuse.

I don't know what would be worse. Being a Cowboys fan or being a Redskins fan.

Jerruh and Daniell.

Cowboys fan, definitely. It isn't like anyone thinks the Redskins have had the roster to contend over the last decade, but Jones seems to have a real knack for assembling talent that just doesn't gel. Doesn't hurt that he has the chokingest QB of all time throwing season after season away when the pressure is on...

That's what I don't understand about the anti-Jones stuff. Every year talking heads talk(duh) about "all the talent" in BigD. How many weapons they have. All of their depth, yada yada yada. But they don't win and Jerruh gets blamed. But he's the one who assembles the talent. He's not the one who coaches the talent. IMO, he seems great at finding RBs, WRs-TEs and LBs. But he loyal to QBs he's found, which hurts. No idea on how or why that defense was so horrible though.

Yep. And just like any other 16 year old kid he's enamored with the splash players. Never bothers to assemble an OL. Or a defense. Although he did take an offensive lineman with his first pick. A center. Stand back. Genius at work there.

Does he try and get Chuckie to be a QB specialist this off season with RGIII?

I doubt it but it will be great hearing Chucky do commentary for Skins games.
