Yeah Kurt Angle was a great heel, forgot about him.

Vince McMahon just might be the greatest heel of all time, was iffy if I should consider him a wrestler tho.

Punk's angle with Taker earlier this year has to put him up there. may still be too young to be on the list though.

The Punk/Undertaker feud last year was pretty good. It reminded me of Big Bossman/Big Show many years ago where Bossman interrupted the funeral of Big Show's Dad and stole the coffin (which btw was the most ridiculous thing I'd seen in WWF, lol)

you can still see kurt angle on thursday nights with hogan and sting.

Black and white NWO gave heels new meaning, its almost where Punk is now, just he is 220 pounds and somehow handling guys that are pushing 300. Cena has as many fans that hate him as those that hate him. Cena is the face/heel at the same time.

I think the idea of the shield is good, it would have helped to have guys that were known before they became this force.

I'm not sure he'd make my top 5, but Ravishing Rick Rude was a great heel. Probably in my top 10.

I agree that guys like Punk, Hart, Michaels etc were great heels, but I think they're great faces too. That's why I wouldn't list them with the Flair's and the Triple Hs. A guy who was usually a face, but had a great run as a heel in the early 90's was Jake Roberts. His promo/mic skills are up there with Hogan, Flair and the Rock. Really ahead of his time character wise

That was an awesome feud. It started the attitude era. That WM match is in my top two in WM history along with the Razor/Michaels ladder match

Agreed, those guys were good heels but not pure heels. They were just as popular as faces.

Yall guys are probably too young to remember Joe Le Duc from Memphis wrestling. The guy used to scare me as a kid. Dibiase was a good answer

I think he's one of those guys that was a great heel but also a great face, so when people think of him they don't really see him as a true heel, even tho he was a very good one. Sort of like HBK, great heel but also a great face. Whereas Ric Flair, HHH, & Randy Orton are pure heels.

One guy I used to like was 1 Man Gang aka Hakim. That guy was a great heel back in the day. Also Bad News Brown. My 2 favorite WWF heels from the 1980s were Ted Dibiase & Mr Perfect tho, those guys were boss.

If we're limiting it to guys known mainly for their time as heels then I don't think Scott Hall should be on the list. He was a very popular face in the mid 90s with the Razor Ramon gimmick. Came into WWF as a great heel but turned face in less than a year and was 1 of the most popular faces from 93-96.

A few guys you might replace him with could be Jeff Jarrett, Owen Hart, or Yokozuna. I want to say Andre the Giant but most of his career was before my time and I think he spent a lot of time as a popular face as well. Yeah my wrestling knowledge is pretty much limited to the 90s.

Flair was pretty popular as a face too but he had a long career and was so great as a heel that I think he belongs on the list. Even when he was face he'd still do a lot of his heel dirty tricks and the crowd would go nuts.
