This one probably isn't going to move the needle on here for anyone except me, but it deserves mention anyway... Fieldy's bass riff to Korn's "Daddy" (especially the intro) is f'n epic! It sets a sick ominous mood to a wicked emotionally-charged song about being the victim of child molestation.

Tom Morello wrote some great riffs. I always hated Zach De La Rocha's "singing" but that was a hella tight band.

Pantera has a bunch.. but with Walk the beauty lies in it's simplicity main riff is literally 2 notes with a not quite half step bend, and Dimebag played a little behind the beat which gives it it's grove, kind of a lazy 8th note feel
