First off , nobody lied on here

PERCEPTION, is the problem

If you can’t see the difference in MJs game vs Leflop you dum!!!!

Both players possess greatness , only 1 of them played the game with a killer instinct

Not only has he lied but he got caught and you also agreed with his lie(s).

Hell, you kind of did here, too.....who in this thread has ever said he cannot see the difference in their games. You either lied or have serious comprehension issues.

Slight exaggeration is fine but yours was extreme exaggeration and hell even that is fine. But you believe your crazy exaggerations.

Nothing in this thread has made me mad or I'd have dropped out. It's mostly for easy laughs from you like your last comment since you have provided limited to no facts.

you’re entitled to your to your own opinions but you are not entitled to your own facts.

A general statement, not solely directed at you. You have shown signs of havin an open mind where others on here have no idea what one is..

I can agree too many here base their comments on who the poster is and not the actual post/comment.

But in the case of your last comment no one in this thread thinks there are not many differences in the games of MJ and Lebron. To say otherwise is a lie or comprehension issue.

Only exaggeration was the 1000 times comment. The rest was spot on whether you like it or not

They begin with the premise that MJ is the GOAT because the majority of who do post about it believe he is.

I believe he’s the GOAT because no player in the category has ever been so gifted and driven to win as MJ, and the rings prove it with the roster he played with , vs what Russell played with in Boston
I'll call BS right there.

Jordan played with multiple All Star/HOF's. during his multiple runs, including arguably the greatest coach in NBA history.

Talking about "driven to win" is complete made up salad dressing. I'd take Bill Russell's "will to win" over MJ's, given their credientials.

If rings are what you are concerned about, Bill Russell should be your guy. He's got 11. But for some reason, you settle for 6 and say it's out of this world. You'll have to explain that one.

I don’t agree with a valid case for Wilt or Russell. But the rest for sure. And it is very close between the 3 at the top

Russell and Wilt simply played in an era where there wasn’t legit competition anywhere near the level modern athletes have. Not their fault.
You can't blame players for the era they played in. If you gave Russel and Wilt the same capital of knowledge of basketball strategy, the same technique training, the same plyometric and modern tactics, and the same supplements and recovery options... they'd fit right in and be just as dominant. r

You can't just yank somebody out of of the 60's and compare them to a 90's player and say it's a fair comparison.

If you want to go simpleton/neanderthal logic (like many MJ disciples do)... Bill Russell had 11 championships, 5 MVP's, and this was before blocks and steals stats were kept, and defensive POTY awards were given out.... Russell would have dominated those obviously. Jordan advocates have to tread lightly and tip-toe in their arguments.. because they don't hold up with full context.

Pound for pound MJ was the best ever

He would have been the best in whatever era he played in

The man won 3 rings left the game for 2 years , came back and won 3 more

He needed no named coach to win and made his teammates stars

I agree with most of what you are saying.

Wilt would be great in any era for sure

Russell?

He was a great athlete. He would be successful in any era.

But the only case for him as GOAT is that he was the best player on a team that won the championship every year in an 8 team league. That team was also loaded with hall of famers.

His stats simply aren’t good enough to make a legit case for him as the greatest player of all time. He averaged 15 points a game for his career. With all the great 2 way players the league has seen, that is just not enough offense.

While you can’t punish players for the era they played in, it has to be taken into context. The average NBA athlete simply wasn’t very good in 1960 compared to what they are today. Of course a physical specimen like Wilt is going to dominate.

Russell might be DPOY today, but he would not be dominant. He would be something like Bam Adebayo. Very good player, nowhere close to best in the league.
