Not at all.

I am saying the opposite.

I am saying there is not a thing wrong with flopping. I am saying players who don’t embellish contact to try to draw fouls aren't playing smart.

Extra trips to the FT line help teams win games. You are foolish to think MJ, one of the greatest competitors of all time, a man who said he would do just about anything to win is above flopping.

And you all trying to vilify current players for trying to help their teams win by gaining an extra call or 2 a night is extremely foolish also.
I’m not saying he never flopped…

Look, the guy was/is the ultimate competitor .

I believe his own dad lost his life on a bet

MJ just did everything in style

Currently players are whiny biotches…

Malone and Dawkins WOULD never play the game today

And you are incorrect.

Current generations learn from previous ones and improve on what they did.

You are out of your mind if you honestly believe that old school players didn’t try to draw fouls.

Coaches at every level teach players how to do this.

Is there more of this going on today than there was 30 years ago?

Of course. Because players have learned techniques from guys before them and gotten better at them.

Just do a quick google search of Jordan flopping and you see a few good ones.

WTF of course you go to the hoop in hopes of the old fashion 3

But , no coach I ever played for taught me to flop for a call, you earned it!

Your coach never taught you how to take a charge?

Guess what that is when you take the contact and allow it to take you to the ground?

I was the most coachable , played the most tenacious D, if I had the 3 , would have scored 30+ a game.. if only I had 3 more inches I would have played both !

Shut up you dummies about the 3 inches

I didn’t need to flop, cheat or beg for a call

That would be you.

When Jordan used to shoot his fade away from the elbow, draw a little contact, hit the ground on his butt and use his hands to make himself slide 10-15 feet across the floor…

Know what that is called?

A flop.

People just weren’t triggered by it because there wasn’t anyone calling attention to athletes doing these types of things in social media.

And because you hate LeBron and other contemporaries you are triggered by it.
Try find a collection of serious flops. Then search today’s game like LeBron. It will be like 85-1 ratio

WTF. Your worst post yet

MJs athleticism caused him to slide 10-15 ft to avoid injury from a defender .how the F do you see that as floppin?

Leflop is one of the best to ever play game, a lot don’t like him cause he acts like a Putz
He’s seriously a moron or trolling. Nobody is this stupid. MJ didn’t flip like today’s guys. He might have had a few contacts that you could say were flops but very very few. Lebrons whole body shakes when he’s touched and he usually hits the floor and wipes his head like he’s a 5-3, 110 pound kid playing against a silverback

In fairness…

Didn’t Zeke say at a press conference that the only reason Bird got all his accolades was because he was white?

Something like that. Don’t recall exactly.

Players had good reasons to dislike Zeke. And no reason to bring him into the locker room. Not like they needed him to win.
Remember the game Malone had Zeke donate a pint of blood to the court

lol, I think he’s a little of both

Leflop , honesty never thought he was such an attention seeker. He’s the Arod of baseball!

And he doesn’t have to be. He’s a freekin blessed beast who could have been unstoppable.

It's funny to read some of the comments. Always interesting to see people that aren't NBA fans share their opinions of the game today.

Why do you only call out LeBron for flopping? Your issues with him are strange.

If memory serves, it was Rodman who said it, but Zeke either repeated it or agreed with it when asked about it. Forget which it was.

Yep you got it right.

Larry Bird once downplayed racially-charged comments made by Detroit Pistons. (12/23/24)

Zeke's own words.

"I think Larry Bird is a very, very good basketball player. But I have to agree with Rodman. If he were black, he'd be just another good guy."

Said that after game 5 of the 1987 ECF.

Ain't it funny how a LeBron hater had to call tlance a moron for not agreeing with him?

Here is the thing…

Do current players flop more than prior generation?

Yes, because they have learned from guys who came before them and learned how to do it even better.

Do I wish refs would crack down on the whining?

Also yes. No place for it. Nobody wants to see it.

But acting like older players didn’t ever flop? Or that it is somehow not manly?

Get out of here with that.

Any competitor is going to use whatever tools they have to get a favorable call from an official.

Players in other sports do this too. It just looks different in each.

Very well put. Especially mentioning that current players are doing what the previous generation of players did.
