Isiah Thomas probably should have been on this team, as well.
MJ’s sensitivity made sure it didn’t happen… for all the attempts at ESPN and Gen X/early millennials to portray MJ as a model of the “working man’s man”.. Jordan was too often a diva who wouldn’t stop whining to officials about not getting to the line.. and in the 90’s you couldnt breathe on him without a foul call, and he was allowed to travel quite a bit compared to other players. And he constantly pitched fits with owner Jerry Krause.

But his “I won’t play on the dream team if Isaiah Thomas is on the team” drama is akin to the worst you see even in todays game. What a snowflake.

Don’t believe the myth/caricature of MJ.. it’s not real.

I mean, I wouldn't call myself a hater as I can appreciate how great he is and at worse in discussion for GOAT....also appreciate he helped my team win a title I never thought I'd see.

But have really never liked the guy as I do think he's an extreme narcissist and drama queen.
Ever notice how odd it is that some people who want to have a debate about who the GOAT in basketball is want to BEGIN with the premise that MJ is, and will just mock anyone who disagrees?

I could easily make a case for all these players as the GOAT:
- Bill Russell
- Wilt
- Kareem
- Jordan
- Lebron

But if you wanna talk GOAT one has to prove it from a neutral position.

A very childish tactic of askin someone to admit a lie when a lie wasn’t committed

I bet the house there are more who would say MJ is the GOAT

Yea, ok. Now post that I’m a MJ nuthugger cause I posted truth

See where I’m coming from from?

No you don’t!

I don’t agree with a valid case for Wilt or Russell. But the rest for sure. And it is very close between the 3 at the top

Russell and Wilt simply played in an era where there wasn’t legit competition anywhere near the level modern athletes have. Not their fault.

But the GOAT can’t be Russell because he wasn’t the best player at his position during his era, and it can’t be Wilt because his team didn’t beat Russell’s team enough.

The overall resumes just don’t stack up to the other 3 on your list who have everything. Team success at a high level, and a laundry list of individual accolades on top.

They begin with the premise that MJ is the GOAT because the majority of who do post about it believe he is.

I believe he’s the GOAT because no player in the category has ever been so gifted and driven to win as MJ, and the rings prove it with the roster he played with , vs what Russell played with in Boston

And nobody will ever knock you for having that opinion stated in that way.

Unnecessary to denounce LeBron. Just say you prefer MJ and why.

Absolutely no one sane puts Russell above MJ in the debate. Also no one under age 75.

And they won’t !!!! Cause I took that from you, lol. Take a bow for goodness sakes

Denounce leflop for only one reason, he’s put himself above the game.

He’s the most gifted player in how he was built by the man upstairs, but he’s gone nuts. And I believe it started when he went to Miami, a place I have spent a lot of time. And that place can turn you, in many ways!

He is a billionaire athlete who has been famous since he was 15

And you never hear a negative word about his actual behavior or antics off the court. Only PR mis-steps and political difference of opinion.

In the social media age that is damn impressive.

Yes , that is impressive and he should be acknowledged for the example that he sets off the court .

No excuse for the antics of floppin and cryin to refs after every touch on the court which has come to the attention to the NBA fan base which is puttin it all over internet. And it it being touched up. It’s embarrassing what he’s doin for a call
