Till We Can't Be Beat. WON'T. BE. BEAT.
2008 Notables for Dual Threat QB's:
--#1: Terelle Pryor PA 5* Ohio St. 40: 4.4
--#4: Robert Griffin TX 4* Baylor 40: N/A (I'm guessing Fast)
--#8: B.J. Daniels FL 4* USF 40: 4.55
--#9: Kody Spano TX 3* Nebraska 40: 4.7
2009 Notables:
--#1: Russell Shepard TX 5* LSU 40: 4.4
--#5: Tate Forcier CA 4* Michigan 40: 4.55
--#6: Cody Green TX 4* Nebraska 40: 4.6
2010 Notable Prospects:
--#1: Cameron Newton TX 4* Auburn 40: 4.53
--#4: James Franklin TX 4* Missouri 40: 4.6
--#7: Brion Carnes FL 4* Nebraska 40: N/A
Booms -- Pryor, Griffin, Daniels, and Forcier have all proven to be either freak atheletes or just flat out play-makers, all as far as I know started their freshmen year, or at least got rotated in (Pryor, Forcier). All of which performed pretty gosh dang well and showed tremendous promise.
Busts -- Spano: (injury prone, shredded knees) was just one spot behind B.J Daniels, who if you haven't seen play is FUN to watch so this is a huge bust for me. Cody Green: Yes folks, I'm sorry but I have to say it. If you're one spot behind Tate Forcier in the rankings, and don't even put up a quarter of the stats Forcier did, then you're a bust for now. Forcier showed some serious poise in that Notre Dame game while Green looked confused alot of the time, and seriously rattled in the start of the OU game.
As far as Russell Sheppard goes, I can't knowingly say one way or the other, I just know he played a bunch of positions, and was a terror any time he was on the field. Never started a game.
