I am talking about the guys that were great coordinators then became HCs, were fired, went back to being great coordinators, back to HC, fired. Not the guys got the HC job and were fired and never heard from again, or stayed at the HC level (Like a Pete Carrol after he was fired from NE).

Well, in that case Mike Nolan is on track if he ever gets a HC job again. He was a good DC with the Ravens, bad HC for the 49ers, and then had very good defenses with the Broncos, Dolphins, and Falcons since he was fired in SF.

He might not get a HC job again though, with how much of a mess he made of things in SF.
