Went to the Sabres game tonight with my son, daughter in law and grandson. The "little man" really loves hockey and until tonight the only game he has seen live was a college game at Bowling Green.
He just looked around at all of the people and the excitement (the size of the crowed seemed to overwhelm him for a while) but once things got going it was so great to see that little boys face watching the game. He gave a hi five to dad, mom and grandpa when the Sabres scored.
When posters like Bizz, fortythree and others share their experiences here watching their boys grow up watching this great game and the bonding that goes with it is very special. For those of you lucky enough to have kids or grandkids, nephews, nieces or friends enjoy the times like this. They grow up fast.
I just wanted to share this with all of you because it means so much to me. I love my grandsons and all of my family. Take the time to enjoy life with them. We went to dinner after the game and he looked at me and said "Grandpa it was loud there and I had so much fun". It didn't seem to matter to him that the Sabres lost, sometimes we can learn from our little loved ones. All I could say was "Tyler, grandpa had a great time too".
