Pudge as new manager of the Marlins?
One of if not my favorite Ranger but not sure about him as a manager.
Mr. Banister doesn't move as swiftly as some (i.e. me) wants in reacting to what we (yep, me again) would like. But he does seem to arrive at some of the same conclusions.

Agree.I agree completely. Pudge has no practical experience coaching, much less managing or dealing with the day-to-day activities - dealing with the press, FO, etc - required as a on field manager.
Besides, if you've listened to Pudge on the post game shows, he still doesn't seem completely comfortable communicating in English. I hate saying that. But honestly believe it's the truth.
He's got a very good opportunity here to grow and with an organization who truly appreciates him for exactly who he is, admires him for what he's accomplished, and willing to give him time for that growth. I sure would hate to see him go stand in front of the Jeff Loria "fire-me" freight train.
Stay home Ivan.
I'd rather he be q bit slow at arriving to good conclusions than knee jerk or not at all.
OK guys....this may be interesting.
Norm in his next segment (10:50 ish) is going to tell us why our minor league system is "overrated." Actually he's calling it "the myth of the Rangers farm system."
I'll try to recap after it's over.

Instead, they've decided to name their own GM as the new manager. WTF?
Good choice because we still retain PudgeThey went for the guy with no experience whatsoever. Hell, Pudge would smoke this guy in a "professional" resume contest.
Agree with your "general" statement. But I really don't think of me wanting Feliz out of the closer's role for some time now as knee-jerking. Nor would I place my desire to move EA outta the # 2 spot as same.
Slow and right is always preferable to never though.
