I just heard there was a hearing today. Nothing has come yet, that I know of.

it was the worst thing i've ever seen! he tried to kill him! suspend him for life!

it really wasn't a bad hit, i'm surprised people are making a big deal of it.. i was surprised he got 5 minutes for it.. IMO he hit a guy (prolly too hard, especially since it was preseason) but he was right up against the boards with his back to shelley.. IMO you see that hit all the time, but i guess they're trying to cut that hit out this season

that being said, i still want him to be suspended for at least 40 games .. if shanny wanted to get real creative he'd mandate shelley get 10 minutes TOI every game for a week.. multiply that by the 'Shelley PIM (Philadelphia Impairing Machine) multiplier' of 3.5, and shelley will get, on average, 35 penalty minutes a night.. assuming he finds someone to beat his face in twice per game, thats 25 minutes of PK-ing for the flyers.. and if you include the 10 minutes shelley is on the ice as its rightful, 3.5 vs. 5 situation.. that would be a true punishment..
