Growing up in MTL, most of my best friends ask why Subban is hated so much. I think the Morrow fight sums it up. Starts a fight, throws a haymaker while the other guy is still dropping his gloves, and then goes for the headlock.

Most players are hated because they're talented combined with one or two notorious moments of being a jerk (diving, cheap shotting, etc). PK fits that mold, except he honestly has far more than one or two jerk moments. The history of slew foots/trips is there, the immaturity, etc.

So what I've come to realize is PK wants to be the next Chris Pronger, but every time he tries to act tough, his turtle/gutless instincts kick in.

The NHL needs a Pronger like stud d-man asshole heel type, but Suban needs to grow up some to get there.
