He appears to be looking in JD's direction so I don't know if he missed him. Maybe he thought that inside DB would jump the route. Though considering some of the passes he's thrown into double, triple n quadruple coverage. I don't think that could be it either.

And he's not a back up QB, at least not right now. Though I guess that could be subject to change at the drop of a hot.

Its understandable. If that is the case im surprised there wasn't a switch back to Wentz after the bye week. If we lose to the Giants are playoff, chances go down significantly. If there is doubt about TH, why wouldn't he make the switch right now?

No way. Well, I guess it depends on what the definition of short leash is. But if Ron made a change and Wentz bombed, he would, and should, lose his job.

you can say that with any qb. If we dont make the playoffs I think RR is gone but if we do, he stays no matter what QB is under center.

The reason he doesn’t make the switch now is because there even larger doubts about Wentz.

I think Sheehan did say he believes TH probably finishes the season.

Its a very big gamble dean to swap out Heinicke now. Big reward, but if it doesn't work, the season is over and the entire team is giving Ron the side eye. Like I said I don't envy Ron if there is a decision to be had here. Wentz has to be activated. Until then this whole thing is moot anyway.
