I love Howard just not sure how much he's going to get used in the pass game. If we are talking straight rushing he's top 5 for me
I get it. I’d take Gurley, Bell, Zeke, Johnson, and maybe Barkley over him, but that’s about it. I think Nagy is going to have him catching more passes and having more opportunities this year. Howard could be in a for a HUGE year this year. Last year he was running on teams that knew when and where he was going, and he would still gash teams mercilessly until he would inexplicably get pulled for a smaller back in the red zone.

Kind of surprising he doesn't get more catches. He's entirely capable.

Ehhhhh.... he’s had some bad drops. One cost the bears a win against the falcons last year. They say he’s been concentrating on it in the offseason, but they say that about every player and their weakness. He could still improve, but I still expect to see a few bad drops. I do think he will have more opportunities than last year.

I'm splitting hairs and guessing a bit here but I suspect it will look something like this:

1. Todd Gurley
2. Leveon Bell
3. Ezekial Elliott
4. Kareem Hunt
5. David Johnson
6. Saquon Barkley
7. Alvin Kamara
8. Leonard Fournette
9. LeSean McCoy
10. Dalvin Cook

Honestly these names could be in almost any order. Honorable mention to whoever start for the Patriots

People forget about how great David Johnson is, him being #1 wouldnt shock me

I don't think many people who actually follow football are sleeping on him. Lots of people follow fantasy football and he was a big part of All or Nothing when the Cardinals were on that show.

He is coming back from injury so I have him middle of the pack but he could definitely be #1. Dalvin Cook was the only guy on my list I took a risk on, imo.

I'm not sure I'd want the Chiefs to trade Spencer Ware for Melvin Gordon let alone putting him ahead of stud RBs
I guess that's your choice. He went for 1100+ and 8 TDs behind one of the worst OLs in the NFL, and also took care of the ball extremely well. Factor in his 58/476/4 line as a receiver and he had a fantastic year. Not sure I've seen Spencer Ware do that before.

Glad someone agrees with me. I saw his name mentioned by 1 other guy. If he ain't Top 10, y'all don't know football.

Guy is coasting off his college reputation and has been pretty mediocre in the NFL. Gets to run against the Chiefs D and Raiders D twice a year and has yet to hit 4.0 yards per carry in his career.

FootballOutsiders had him 33rd in DVOA last year, 29th the previous year and 43rd the year before.

I definitely feel Gordon has gone from getting way too much hate his rookie year to being way overrated.

Should you be considered top 5, let alone top 10 when your career YPC is less than 4?
Jerome Bettis thinks so!

Joking aside... I think Melvin Gordon is getting overrated for the same reasons he was getting underrated his rookie year. Touchdowns.
