Looks like Chiefs fired Dorsey. Some big changes happening in KC

Worst move I've seen maybe any team make. Love Reid but that guy was the engine keep an Alex Smith team a consistent top 10 team in DVOA. Smells of Reid and/or Hunt meddling. Won't really impact this season, but the drafting can very easily go to very good to mediocre or worse very quickly. Between losing Dorsey and now Ballard they've depleted their pool down to Veach, who while has a nice reputation and wasn't far off from getting the Bills job, is maybe not my favorite person for the GM job exactly.

I sort of sense the discord this off season. Which is one of the reasons I didn't choice the Chiefs to win the division or make the playoffs. Rumor is the Chiefs felt embarrassed with Dorsey handling of cutting Maclin and Charles.

More broadly what I am hearing is it's the contracts in general. Eric Berry's contract saga in particular seems to have rustled the owner's jimmies a bit. if Allbright is to be believed Clark Hunt did some arm twisting to make sure that contract got done.

Eagles offense will score points this year but the D is going to give up a lot. They could sneak in as a WC.

Online sports betting would make a killing of at least 100 mil if not more if that happens. I can only see that happening with the third string QB's playing and the weather conditions are just terrible with -10 degrees and 15 MPH wind gusts.

They seem to be a team that can't put 2 good years in a row. In 2013 they went 12-4 but followed that up with a 7-8-1 season. Then of course we had the 15-1 season followed by a 6-10 year. So this is looking like a bounce back opportunity. I like the defense and the offense added some very explosive play makers in the draft to take some heat off Cam. I think the pressure got to him a bit this last year with all the attention and need of getting back to the Super Bowl. So now can relax a bit and just go have fun.
