Thought that was pretty much a no-brainer, altho in fairness the Twins Jake Odorizzi had a great month as well and was also deserving. BTW, did I read or hear somewhere that JO will be a free agent after this season? If so, he may be a worthy target to go after, altho his price tag will undoubted skyrocket, especially if he maintains his current excellence. The guy could not have picked a better time to have himself a career year.

Absolute 180 from last year, when he was pretty much considered by just about every analyst as the worst starting pitcher in baseball. Now, assuming he doesn't suddenly go back in reverse, his chances for making the AS team are outstanding.

On one of the Sox websites they showed all his k's from yesterday's game. The man has really learned how to paint the corners. Gotta say too tho that the ump was being a bit generous in calling the pitches. Makes one wonder if the G-man from 2018 and that horrible record of his would have been the same beneficiary of those close calls.
