Gotcha, thanks bud. Interesting trade nonetheless (assuming its validity). I would guess that would mean Beltran is not coming back, but I could be wrong.
Rosenthal just confirmed, pending physicals and yes this basically means bye bye Beltran. It hurts to trade Wheeler and essentially get nothing in return but it'd be worse to overpay for a 35 year old with the injury history that Beltran has. Pagan will lead off and play RF. Cabrera will probably hit second and play CF with Belt in RF.
I posted this on another thread:
Pagan went from a +2.2 dWAR in 2010 to a -1.7 dWAR in 2011.
What the hell happened?
He played exclusively in CF last year... and he was pretty spotless in RF and LF in 2010... I guess that's it.
Pagan and Torres are basically the same player, imo. Not sure why Ramirez was thrown-in?
2010 Torres and Pagan maybe but Torres hit .221 last year dude is 4 years older than Pagan and Pagan has been fairly consistent over his career... plus Pagan can steal much better than Torres.
More like Pagan for Ramirez with Torres thrown in.

Orteo, Edlefsen, non-roster guy given chance.
That lineup does not include Melky. Not that I want him anywhere near at&t park, but that guy WILL get playing time this season - whether we like it or not.
