Sounds like it has a very slim chance of happening. First time around GGG came in with all the belts and the win streak and the p4p ranking, yet he made concessions on where they would fight, when they woukd fight, who would enter the ring first, who got to pick the gloves, ref, sanctioning body, and he made 1/2 of what Cabell did. Then he beat him in the ring but had judges rule it a draw. So he made concessions again to do the rematch. Was still scheduled to make less money than Canelo on the rematch. Then Canelo got caught juicing and suspended and GGG had to scramble to find a last minute replacement where hes not going to make ppv $ he'll just make HBO $.

Now Canelo still wants GGG to make all the concessions and take less money than he gets. And it sounds like GGG isn't going to do it. If the fight gets made this time it sounds like it will have to be Goldenboy and Canelo who make it happen. And you know they don't really want that.

I'm sceptical that the rematch happens this year. And as old as GGG is, that may mean it never happens.

I get boxing matches can be subjective when scoring, but that fact you realize Canelo was no where near a draw, impresses me about you knowing boxing wanted a political value. Also lets me Know Canelo really doesnt want a rematch unless he can create a Manny vs. Mayweather scenario down the road. he does have youth on his side.

Fuck Canelo at this point. (Who I used to like)

I want to see Old Man GGG who doesnt duck Fighters in his division take on Charlo who also seems to be a real fighter saying I want to be the best!

If we could exclude Boxing politics, that will be the real fight right now for 160Lbs.

GGG stripped of one of his major belts because the organization gave him an exemption to fight Canelo in May, but he didn't fight Canelo in May. IBF was mandating that he had to fight their #1 contender before August 1st. Which is barely enough time for a full camp, and wouldn't leave enough time afterwards to fight on Mexican independence day weekend.

Strange that as soon as Golden Boy turned him down, a sanctioning organization stripped the top p4p fighter of his belt for not fighting some nobody.

Fuck boxing and all of its crooked politics.

Roided up Canelo vs an older GGG? Forgive me if I'm not as hyped up for this match even though I'm rooting for the latter. If GGG wins this, he is a boss and a legend that Mayweather is too much of a pussy to fight against.

Why would Floyd fight a middleweight?
Maybe he should think about taking on Deontay Wilder, too?

Speaking of Wilder, Floyd should really come back to fight Charlie Zelenoff...that kid is the real deal.
