wow! what a turn... patrick comes up with another clutch goal. he isnt producing a ton, but his goals have deep uber clutch!

Absolute nothing from the top 2, but they still manage 5-2. Now if those guys get hot, the sharks could end up better off with this torture...

I have not seen a single PP in the last 3 games that has not had jumbo and heater out there at the start... On the PP, guys only change after the puck has been cleared so when the 2nd unit comes on, there's usually about 40 seconds left and they have to get the puck from behind their own net. That's a massive difference in opportunity.

This game started without Heatley on the 1st unit. It was Thornton, Clowe, Couture, Pavelski, and Boyle to start. There haven't been a bunch of PP's over the last few games but there have been a few where Thornton's line drew the penality and didn't start the PP.

Game-winner on the 50th shot! Doesn't have to be pretty... big 2 pts. to finish the trip.

Gotta give Thornton some props for that game winner as he forced the turnover.

Edmonton 3 - dallas 1 through two... if they lost the sharks will be exactly 1 point behind dallas, anaheim, and phoenix for the division and are now 1 point up on LA (equivalent).

Minny lost, so they drop to 9 over, 1 pt back of SJ...

man, what a rediculous year in the west right now.

Good point cmon. if we criticize a ton, you have to point out the good also. joe did cause that turnover just inside the sharks blueline.

And there's the difference between a so-so road trip and a good one. This could have been a great road trip but we will take it. Hopefully this fires up the top guys because at the end of the day this team goes nowhere without Jumbo and Heater.

yep... nice to see for sure... for jumbo the offense will come from the Defense, but when he decided the skate hard, it's tough to defend against him cuz he is a big big dude.

Was it me or did Huskins make that game winning pass?

Got to take the good with the bad. Credit to him for forcing that turnover in a critical situation, some redemption for the inability to clear the puck late in the Florida game.

The conference playoff race is packed, with only EDM completely out of it. COL is teetering on the brink of falling out of it, too.

colorado is done. 11 points out with 30 to go is definitely finished. They'd have to go about 24-6 or so to get close.

Interestingly, these rediculously long road trip could pay off later. Starting march 1st until the end of the year, the sharks play 13 of 19 games at home, never go to the eastern time zone, and have only a two game trip to the central zone playing dallas and chicago). Lastly, never go out of the pacific time zone for the last 11 games of the year. That means that late in the year, the sharks should be relatively rested, particularly if they make the PO's, then they should be fresh going in.

Not really a good game tonight from the Preds. They played really well in the 1st but not so much in the 2nd and 3rd. They gave up WAY too many shots. If not for Rinne tonight, it might have been a lot worse. It just felt like a matter of time before SJ scored the game winner. Oh well...gotta move on.

Good game, Sharks.

Forgot to mention the Preds PK. I thought it was really good tonight. Especially against one of the best PP teams in the league.

Also, I just checked the West standings and I believe there a 4 Playoff teams tied at 68 points...jesus

Good game, Sharks.

Good game bud. Preds always play tough even when they don't have their A game. Nashville got kind of jobbed by the refs too. good luck the rest of the way, i'm a big weber fan.

Hey, are you NSH_PREDS on ESPN? Anyway, wish your team good luck for the rest of the season. Predators should make the playoffs because they play hard and gritty hockey consistently, something the Sharks should learn from. The last game of the season series in SJ should be another tight 1-goal game, as they each have been so far.

Minnesota is only 4 games over .500, as are the Sharks. Sharks are 1 pt behind Phoenix, tied with Dallas and Anaheim. LA is 3 points back. LA and Dallas have the important 2 games in hand, Anaheim has 1.

The 3 point game must really have ticked off some other teams.

I sure hope they play like they're done in the two upcoming games in SJ, something tells me otherwise, though. Never that easy, especially with the Sharks.

Thornton did a nice job back checking to put pressure on the Nashville guy (forget who it was) but Huskins was the one with the poke check and then he also was the one who turned the play around with the outlet to Marleau. What's with all the points that Huskins is putting up lately? I'm glad that Thornton got a point for his sake, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they take his assist away because I'm not sure he ever touched the puck.
