That whole crew is at Runboard now...

Those were Mules and the HFs.

I remember those days. Brute, Doyle, Vags, Balzac, SayHey, FriscoShortStop, and the DieGnatsDie Dodger troll. There was a guy who claimed to be a big shot, landing his private at Palo Alto Muni, and running with his Chuck Taylors.

The ESPN board went to ruin when they appointed mods, and then when they went to the robomods. Sad.

Good times, though.

MSG, wtf?

are you going to start making out with NN next?

Man, it's all just fun and games. I'm still going to rip the guy but it's not like he's Osama Bin Laden.

I was just talking about this with my wife. She was noticing that this year's team is noticeably better looking than year's past. Compare 2011 to say the last WS team in 2002.

This year she likes Crawford, Torres, Posey, Lopez, Wilson (sans beard), Zito, even Schierholtz.

In 2002 all they had was JT. Then they had a bunch of plug uglies like Santiago, Ortiz, and Bonds, and closet cases like Kent.

LOL

Dude has the worst pear shape I ever saw (except for one ex GF).

One look at that and you know why he will NEVER be a MLB SS.

Maybe we could have a bake sale to raise money and get Whitey some high quality HGH ??!?!?

I don't think him being any bigger would help (I realize you are kidding).

We just need an actual starting catcher.

Apparently, Brute has been run from runboard.

I always liked his stuff. He paid a lot of attention to the farm...

I loved Brute's stuff as well. He was thoughtful, and really did know the farm system, when there wasn't much to be happy about or look forward to.

Some of the early banter on that board was classic! Witty. Funny. Full of crap.

I have not been at the runboard site in a while.

I lurk there a bit, but it is pretty dead.

I never really felt "at home" there...

Dbacks with a nice shutout tonight. Some guy I never heard of. God help us if they can pitch.

Did Nate just strike out on a pitch that didn't even reach the plate?

they fixed the pen. That was enough to make all the other pieces better.

I am not sure they will push us or the Rox, but I fear them more this year than I feared the Pads last year at this time...

They seem to be satisfied on offense and in their rotation, even with no big name guys. It's more bullpen help they are looking for.

IMO, this team is for real. I thought they'd improve this year (not THIS good). It just shows how important pitching is. They've knocked off 2 full runs off that bullpen ERA.
