I think you're right. That was probably the idea given the three blowouts prior to this game. Glad he got some real work, too. Not too happy with the result, but that isn't completely on him.

Regardless, the 9th would have been pitched, the away team always gets 9 innings.

Stupid management. We carried 13 pitchers when we needed some bats, and now we need some arms, we have 11 pitchers. Very smart.
