I hate myself for it but I've always liked Jeter as a player. I am well aware he's not 'DEREK JETER' playing for any other team except maybe Boston,but I'd have liked him anywhere.

It's getting harder lately as he declines dramatically and keeps getting AS nods and Gold Gloves, and blowjobs from the media. But he's hard to dislike, kind of a classic player.

I have to eat my crow on Nate the Great. I thought this guy was nothing more than a career backup, but with the recent change in his stance and the success that appears to have resulted from it, maybe he will be a star for us. I would love to see it happen, especially since he is a local.

I really doubt he can be a big star but maybe he really can realize his potential and be a solid MLer especially in our park with its tricky RF.

Kind of like Torres found it late in life...although this year he may be falling back to what he was?
