Bigger picture. Seeing huff have a good approach will reap benefits for the entire lineup the rest of the way.

Jumping in here late and maybe it's the homer in me but just a bit of bad luck hitting the Giants right now.

Terrific work by Affeldt for 2.1 innings. Agree with previous poster, about not having someone warm in the 6th. Cain had obviously struggled in the 5th, but got out of it. And was clearly not himself in the 6th, giving up a leadoff single and then a four pitch walk.

Still, the offense has GOT to score more runs. Two runs in the 8th, and two in the 9th, and we win.

I'm also starting to wonder if the team assumed too early that they had the West. If you think about it, some media and even CSN bay area folks such as Bip Roberts mentioned that the race to the west was already over as recently as last week. Not good form if this was partly the case and a contributing factor in our recent form.
